"It is hard to give a review of someone that when they are complete feel like part of the family! As someone who used to work in the construction industry they are unbelievable professional and are there to help! They went above and beyond to make sure not only our roof replacement went well but made sure the little details were taken care of without coming back for most likely justified extra cost because they were already there. They are fair and explain everything very well. One observation that I had while they were here was the Owner Scott came by the jobsite. He knew all of the laborers by name and was bilingual to be able to communicate with his team. I think we should all support local businesses with leaders that treat their employees with respect and kindness. And it is obvious this leadership gets translated into their work. They are an amazing company and if I have a home improvement or need an emergency repair there isn't anyone else I will allow in my house after using Frey."

"He was very honest and upfront and said may be 6-8 weeks before could do the roof when awarded work as was very busy. After calling on 10/2 to get update on when might do he ended up being able to do it yesterday or less than 4 weeks. I was very impressed they did job for price and in one day with full tear off finding no nails or anything left laying on ground. He is very honest person with hard working crew and was less expensive than anyone else. I could tell right away he was honest person which is so very important when getting work done on your home. The overall quality of his work is very....very..... good for a very fair price. You might find another roofing company that may get graded excellent on overall quality but you will also be paying three to five thousand dollars more for this same job."

"Highly recommend! Came out within 24 hours to do an emergency patch and replaced the whole roof within a day, only a few days from scheduling! He even met with our adjuster and showed him everything that was damaged. Roof looks great and they did an excellent job of cleaning up!"

"The design process was awesome. It was mind-blowing to see the various options on our house. We ended up choosing an updated look that we hadn't imagined. We needed to delay installation until after winter, but it was done promptly in February in only 2 days. Staff was courteous and checked in with us throughout the project to follow up. "We had a great experience. Angel Sandoval and his team were profesional and great to work with. They were reliable, cleaned up after the job and polite. Definitely would hire them again. They installed a new outer door, sanded and stained an existing deck and replaced the stairs to the deck. They also adjusted the space for a new counter depth refrigerator, removing an entire panel, sanded the floor and painted the wall before the new refrigerator was installed, all in a timely manner."

"If you need a roofing job done right away and done well, hire L.I.C. General Roofing Solutions. We had an old garage roof that badly needed replacing and I sent a request for quote through Angi. They responded and called me that evening! The next day he visited the property and gave us quote, then 2 days later, started and finished the job in 1 day. There were unforceen rotten boards that we had to replace, so the final cost was higher, but that’s to be expected. Overall, a very responsive, experienced, and professional company. Would recommend!"

We were extremely pleased with RMZ's work. Ziggy and an employee, Ralph, took many before-and-after photographs in the attic spaces of the units they worked on. They gave clear explanations of the work that needed to be done, and their findings agreed with what we had been told by the building inspector. They were able to accommodate our residents' schedules for their initial inspection/estimate as well as the actual repairs, and communicated well by phone and email. They were very pleasant to work with throughout the process, and even fixed a minor problem without charge (they made a separate trip to diagnose and fix the problem, and did not complete any other work in that unit). The photographs helped us see the initial problems (e.g., insulation covering vents, visible condensation) and the steps that Ziggy and Ralph took to correct them (adding baffle rafter vent chutes, clearing existing soffit vents, etc.). We will absolutely work with RMZ in the future for any roofing needs, and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs roofing done.

"Slow process (4 weeks) due to dormers, roof angles and the required "cutting to fit" but the installers did a great job of sticking with it to get it done as quickly, professionally & efficiently as possible. We were always informed by the installers as to any issues and what options & solutions were available to complete the work. It was appreciated that they asked us if we had any questions at the end of each day & summarized what the next day would entail. We also appreciated that they always cleaned up after themselves each day. Our new roof looks very nice & we've gotten several good comments from our neighbors. "In 2017, when I was looking to purchase a house in the Rockford area that was needing a full siding install I contacted GF Company in Belvidere. IL, who I found on Angie’s list and at that time GF Co had great reviews. Strangely enough these great reviews are no longer to be found on Angie’s List. It should also be noted there is a GF Siding in Cherry Valley. IL, this is Not the company that I did business with. Ariel Zmijewski (the owner) got me a quote quickly and I decided to purchase the house. A few months later in July 2017, I contacted Ariel again to discuss the finer points of the quote, the price was revised slightly and the Ariel mentioned that once a deposit was paid work could start 6-8 weeks later, but said the install would be finished before the cold weather arrived. I started creating a color layout and Ariel provided some feedback on what would work and not work. To this point I was very happy with progress. In September 2017 I paid a deposit of over $8k (about 44% of final price) and awaited updates for a start date. Nothing happened. In early March 2018 I contacted GF Co by phone stating that I had been very patient and they had had $8k as a deposit for the last 6 months and I had nothing to show for it. After a couple more calls and emails Ariel showed up with his foreman Mark and they said that work would start in the middle of the following week. Much to my surprise the work started on time. Over the course of the next 4 weeks Mark and his crew worked hard, only missing a few days due to bad weather, I even agreed to having some extra work done by the team, some wooden entrance steps that needed replacing for an additional $2.5k. By early May 2018 the job was finished the house looked great and I was very happy with the work and appearance and was getting compliments from neighbors too. The balance of owed of over $10k was paid with 48 hours of the work being finished. Again I was happy with work done, until… A few months after the install a TV cable box started having troubles. Cut a long story short the wall socket died because cable was suddenly defective, also the crew had moved the exterior cable input box and this didn’t help the issue. Comcast fixed it, but I now have an exterior cable showing and they had to drill through the siding. Then around Halloween 2018, less than six months after having the install completed, I noticed that a piece of siding (6ft approx.) had become detached underneath a window, trying to pop it back into place did not resolve the issue. After checking all the other exterior windows I noticed 1 other window was about to do the same thing. I called the GF Company main number and left a message with the receptionist for Ariel to contact me. No response. I called again a couple of times and left more messages still no response. In March 2019 siding problem under windows still Not fixed, I called GF Company again, no answer, and no voice mail. I called a couple more times on different days still no answer or voice mail. I then sent an email to the company and to my surprise I received a response from Ariel stating this was the first that he had heard of it. About a week later (3/26/19) he showed up at my house to view the problem. Ariel stated that he would get someone over to fix the problem, but would not give me a date or time. On 4/2/19 I emailed Ariel again asking for confirmation of a repair date ? Nothing but crickets… On 4/30/19, I sent another email to Ariel requesting that the repairs be completed before the end of May 2019, again no response. Quote / contract says: Customers will receive a Lifetime Warranty on Material and Workmanship Reported GF Company to Illinois BBB on 6/5/19."
