It was a big project involving tearing out an old rotting wooden retaining wall and installing one with interlocking blocks -- a LOT of blocks along a very long stretch, multiple levels, and in a place that machinery could not easily reach. I put it out for multiple bids, and some people just make up (higher) numbers. Hector's bid was very competitive, maybe even the lowest, and he did more work than anyone else was proposing to do. "They worked very hard and the results were beautiful. They have a lot of talent. The plaster ceiling, which is difficult to work with because it is 12' high, and the walls in that same room were in awful shape and required gallons and gallons of plaster. The tin ceiling needed special care to avoid scratching when scraping off the old paint, and the plaster crown moldings around the ceilings were also difficult because they had curvy edges. Anton and crew did a wonderful job. I would hire them again."
