"Frontpoint is very easy to use... it's one of the only DIY services out there. You can install all the sensors yourself (they are all wireless). You stick them where they need to go with very clear instructions, and if you do need help Frontpoint support is excellent. You always get someone on the phone, and they are always happy to walk you through any issues you're having. I've had issues a few different times with dead batteries in a sensor, or misplacement of a sensor causing issues, and in all cases they've resolved the issues quickly over the phone. Because of this, I can manage the system myself (and that's pretty much installation upfront, updating equipment every few years/as needed, and support very rarely). We've yet to have a breakin or anything like that, but we've had several false alarms where my wife accidentally set the alarm off... and in those cases, Frontpoint calls you immediately, asks you for a password, and then asks if you need assistance. Of course we don't, but if they can't reach you... which has also happened... they call the next person on the list (my wife). If they can't reach that person, the cops are already on their way while Frontpoint works down the list of family members, neighbors, etc. to let them know there is an incident at the house and the cops are on their way. This has happened a couple times (due to user error). But it's good to know they have our backs if there is ever a real issue. A+ for Frontpoint."

"Great company to deal with. Totally customer focused. My wife was not comfortable with me installing our security system myself, so internet based alarm companies were a no go. He listened to our needs and our concerns with our existing landline based security system (through Vector), and he designed an effective yet practical and affordable set up for our home. Their prices cannot be beat- trust me I did my homework. Larry came to install the new security system and he was also great to deal with. Knowledgeable and patient- he took his time to explain how the system worked and gave us his cell # in case we had any issues. Kudos to 1st Security USA! The other TV was a little more. I used the Angies list service because I wanted to support local business people. I was surprised to find out the Tech was an independent contractor provided by a California company. A month or so later I needed another TV mounted. In addition to Hellotech I looked into another internet company that begins with "A" that provides local contractors for home repairs. The other service was quite a bit cheaper ($118) and the repair work was comparable. If I can't avoid national internet companies I might as well go for the cheapest."

"They gave us the best rate and the setup was great for ADT system. The installer did have to tell us about other options that would cost more money but he did not pressure us when we declined. We had door, window and motion detectors included. They gave us a week to practice on the new system, but we could call if we were ready to go live sooner which we did. Set up was quick, easy and uneventful. Very nice installer, Phillip Brown. The cost was quoted at a low price, but the bill came from ADT and was much higher. We were told the contract to ADT did not catch up and we will be getting the lower price with a reimbursement for the excess of the first bill. We did the $99 install and are getting a $100 gift card back. 3 year contract is a little annoying but we plan to stay here for a long time."
