Careful attention was paid to drainage, natural slope of the area to determine whether a wall might be necessary. Tom is creative and had excellent suggestions to improve upon our ideas (avoid a wall by going wider within our desired square footage). He is a great problem solver-came to our rescue when a tree vendor did not follow through. The result looks far better than our original idea. The huge surprise was how careful his crew was to minimize damage to lawn for back yard access (our neighbor’s lawn). They used wheel barrels, avoiding same tracts as wear began to show. We may not have any lawn repair to do-part luck, part professionalism. You may not see fancy drawings, itemization of materials, instead a clear idea of total cost based on number of days it takes to do the job and years of experience Tom has ordering materials. His bid is comparable to others, better quality and adequate supply of materials and he was able to get to the job sooner and get it done quickly."

"We are very pleased with L&R on all the projects that we have had completed in our yard. All the projects were well planned, designed and installed with care and respect to our property. They have done multiple landscaping projects that have improved our yard, including regrading, new shrubs, stone path, granite stone steps in the back yard up to a raised bed garden on the most difficult berm. Also installed brick side walk and under ground drains for rain run off, and replaced our deck with a two level deck and stairway. This past spring we called on them to do a yard cleanup and mulch refresh throughout the yard. The latest project was a some what emergency call when we had to have a new electric service installed, and as part of that work a growing rod had to be installed which required part of our paver sidewalk to be removed and reinstalled. "We have had Chris do a number of smaller jobs for us over the last 5 years.  We have always been extremely pleased with the quality of his work.  The shoreline rock wall was by far the biggest project he has done for us.  We couldn't be more pleased with the final outcome!  In order to get the huge rocks to the shore, our yard was pretty torn up in the process, as was the sand beach. Not only does the rock wall look fantastic, but they put the yard and beach back in better shape than it was in the first place.  In addition, Chris is friendly as well as professional and really cares about our input and suggestions.  We will hire him again!

"I hired Luke to fill windows wells that we wanted to eliminate. He was thorough in explaining the process to me and was even able to give me a bid using pictures I had sent him (due to COVID-19 we were/are trying to reduce exposure). So many of our home projects that we have tackled with contractors have had some sort of issue (joys of a fixer upper). However, this project went off without a hitch. "I cannot tell you how pleased we are. Clark is very professional and the crew is knowledgeable and they know what they are doing, they are also a very polite crew to work with. They met with my husband 2 x to go over the removal of our old 63 foot long by 8 foot wide sidewalk that ran by the side of our garage and reinstall a new sidewalk same dimensions. They removed the old sidewalk without any damage to our garage, our sidewalk butts up to the the brick foundation of the garage. My husband wanted the sidewalk installed according to his specifications and they agreed to install the sidewalk to my husbands specifications. When the sidewalk was done they back filled the dirt around the concrete with the dirt they removed. We highly recommend them."

Only complaint is that I had wanted a couple things transplanted and they transplanted very small portions of them without discussing with me. The rest of the plant was removed from the site without asking if I wanted to keep any of it or if a significant amount was transplanted."
