"I contacted Custom Works Inc to have a deck and patio built. They were very professional and answered all the questions my wife and I had. They showed us various types of stones and composite deck materials. They build the decks and their team was excellent. After they were finish with the deck, another team came to build the patio, they were excellent as well. I would highly recommend them if you want a deck or patio. They are an example that other companies need to fo.llow. Their professionalism, and their customer service is UNMATCHED. We are so glad we went with them for our project."

"Our three VKB bathrooms are PERFECT. The office staff is easy to work with and schedule appointments. Yucel Muslu came out to our house and created digital renderings of the bathrooms, incorporating all of the ideas I had and some of his own. He kept me fully informed of where he was in the design process. We then met with Yucel in his studio and picked out everything (the fixtures, tile, toilets) from their showroom. Prior to our meeting, Yucel had 3 or so fixture options he thought would look nice for each bathroom and we selected from there. If I had a design portfolio on HOUZZ, he would have utilized that as well but I did not. Yucel is an incredibly skilled designer and our bathrooms are BEAUTIFUL. Al Onur was our contractor and he kept an eye on our project, stopped by every so often and was always quickly available via text or phone. Elvis Aguilon was the one in charge of all projects at our house on a day to day basis and he is an incredibly skilled craftsman. His work is meticulous and the tile/grout are perfect throughout all 3 bathrooms. The two men who were in the house everyday were extremely clean and swept thoroughly at the end of each day. All of my wood floors were protected and they took great care to not damage walls when they were carrying in items. Any accidental damage they touched up and they even fixed an attic door that I broke prior to the project which was a nice surprise. Our project added a water closet in the master while eliminating the tub and making the shower enormous. Yucel was able to easily make design adjustments when I panicked that the water closet wouldn't be large enough; he was correct, the size he said would be fine is an excellent size. I would hire VKB again for our kitchen and for our two other bathrooms when they need to be redone. They were easy to work with, thorough and timely. I recommend VKB without hesitation to all of my friends and neighbors."

"Overall, I thought the person that came to my home to give an estimate of the patio we wanted to build was not very professional. She came up with a sketch for the patio which did not incorporate the design ideas that I wanted. She was willing to re-sketch the design 2 times to get it right, but then seemed to get annoyed that I asked questions about the materials that were being used, the options that were available...etc. Granted she may have been having a bad week, but I expected more. Ended up going with a different contractor and glad I did because the quote I got from them was $1000 less and I loved the job they did.

He also installed more efficient lighting fixtures in the living room and storage closet. We have had many compliments on the work from friends who come into our house. The sales team was very knowledgeable about the roof replacement process, had all of the samples needed to assist with our decision and provided a list of addresses so we could drive by an see completed roof projects. They are a master elite GAF roofing contractor, which was important to us in selecting a contractor. The contract process was hassle free and they addressed all of our questions. The work crew was very efficient and professional, and left our property in a very clean condition. The finished product looks great. We would use AHC for additional projects in the future."

"When they first did the work, we were really impressed. They were prompt, did everything we asked and put up barriers to keep the rest of the house from getting debris all over. We wanted double-paned Anderson hinged windows installed and they talked us into another kind (Hood, which subsequently went out of business). They said that they were better for the same cost. We said okay and replaced all the windows in the house to match the 5 new ones installed in the addition. We also replaced the swing door in our family room to match the one in the addition. For the basement, they moved an existing sliding door out. They gave us a name of someone to obtain and install flooring in the new part of the basement and dining room. We contacted then and had carpet installed in the basement and hard wood flooring in the dinning room. Initially we were very pleased with everything. Fast forward a couple of years. Upstairs in the bedroom, where the addition was installed, were cracks in the wall. In addition, 2 of the 3 doors they installed leaked, one so bad that it ruined our hard wood floors and stained the ceiling in the basement. It was hard to tell that there was a leak until after the damage was done. Of course, by this time, the warranty was up. One of the octagon windows cracked and I wanted to get them replaced (mid-2010). I could have just replaced the glass, but the window frame (wood) was separating from itself (you could see outside through the joints). I decided to get vinyl windows, since I would not have to worry about every painting them. I had a hard time getting the replacement windows due to the size, so I contacted Coastal (since they originally installed them). They came out right away. I explained what I wanted. I also showed them the damage due to the doors leaking. They explained that the doors were defective and the only thing they would do is caulk, if I choose them to replace my windows. I asked for an estimate. They never got back to me. After I called a couple of times, got promises and the run-around, I was told it would be too hard to find replacement windows and the job ?wasn?t big enough for them? to bother with. I found out later that all the windows they installed were ?builder grade? (not what I paid for). The octagon windows were smaller than standard size (about an inch or 2), which required the company that replaced the windows to cut into the studs. In addition, several of the windows ended up leaking in between the panes and have permanent discoloration in the glass (that looks like they are dirty when they are not). I would not use Coastal builders again nor would I recommend them."
