"We first hired Deck and Patio to build a new back yard deck with a pergola cover and walkway back in 2015. They showed us pictures from a variety of their past jobs and their references were so impressive that we also hired them to build a stone firepit off the deck, and added accent lighting along the walkway and deck. The finished work was so impressive that we are still (even today) getting comments from guests and even other service people that our back yard is so beautiful, a great place to relax—and they are right. It was not without some glitches along the way—for example, the firepit did not drain off the rain water properly at first. Unpredictable events like this occur with every job, but the difference with this company is that Martin is so attentive and so focused on customer service—they actually stayed with it until the problem was solved, and it has never occurred since. We cannot talk long about Deck and Patio without also referring also to the high level of workmanship and professionalism shown by the work crew. One of these, Charlie Fick, is particularly worthy of comment. A master painter, he takes the time to assess the needs of a job, including not just the color and tone of the paint itself, but the character of the wood and the way it takes the paint. Like Martin, he returns to check the quality of his work and measures it against a high standard. If he is not pleased with the result, he will repeatedly revisit the issue. He told me once that he looks at our place as if it were his own. Finally, our satisfaction with this company is so absolute that we are even discussing a regular program of maintenance in the future for the lighting system, pergola, stonework, and painting. "David and his father are true professionals and craftsmen! The gates look like they belonged in our home all along! An absolute perfect match!! Their attention to detail is impeccable! We were always in contact and if there were any delays, David informed me. They gave us everything we had hoped for and more. The “more” being that they made them automatic/soft-closing by putting a storm door hinge thing on them so our toddler could use them and the gates would quietly close behind him preventing younger siblings from following. Genius! They are not cheap, but these men know their worth, and these gates were worth every penny we paid! I gave a B for punctuality because I would get a time, or window, of arrival, and they were usually about 20 min or so late, but since I don’t work, it was no big deal. I have no problem waiting on greatness, but wanted to leave an accurate review. If you’re looking for woodworkers, look no further!!"

"Rebuilt 800 sq ft deck and 2 pergolas. Adam was always on time and explained what he needed to do for the job. He totally removed the old deck and pergolas and rebuilt both in a very timely manner. He discussed any changes he need to make before hand and made sure that they were OK. At the end of each day he cleaned up the area and bagged all of the trash. The new deck and pergolas are much better than the original and look great! The cost was exactly what he quoted at the beginning of the job.
