JJ & his team at Next Door Painting were professional, on time & did exactly what they said they would do. JJ explained the entire job & quote and walked us through the process of the work and the time it would take. They earned our trust & did such a great job we hired them to do some drywall work & paint for the interior of our house."

"I asked him to touch up the paint in my house. He told me it would be $1,600 to do touch ups, and that he would paint from about halfway up the wall down to the bottom, and do the trim and doors, as well. When I showed him the paint that I had, he immediately told me that the paint I had was a matte finish, and the walls were a gloss. I said I didn't mind that fact, and figured I could live with that as I am selling this house. He had me get 3 additional cans of paint for roughly $100 so he could start. However, it wasn't until the end of the first day that I noticed that the paint I had was not an exact match of the white color on the walls. That's the first issue. He began painting, noticed that the paint wasn't an exact match, and did not even bother to reach out to me to let me know. If he had, I would have told him to stop, and go match the paint that he needed, and I would reimburse him for the paint. Instead, he just continued painting figuring that I wouldn't mind. When I came to the house to inspect on that first day, it looked terrible, as you could clearly see the line where he stopped painting with the rollers up the wall. So I asked him to paint it all the way up, so that you couldn't see the line. He said he'd do that for an additional $150, to which I agreed. I'd rather pay that than have my walls look like crap right before listing the house. When I came through on the second day, when he said he was finished, it looked decent, and I went and paid him the $1,750 in cash. It wasn't until after I paid him and he left that I noticed there were areas where he didn't paint all the way up the wall, where you could clearly see the line separating the colors. He also painted up to about 3 inches or so from the top of the wall, still leaving a separating line. I reached out to him about this, and he told me he would paint the areas he missed, but to paint the last 3 inches on all of the walls would be another $850. This is ridiculous. He should have stopped when he saw the paint didn't match. When I found out he didn't, I tried to get him to cover it up, to which I thought he agreed to. he didn't tell me that he would only paint up to a certain point on the walls. Not only that, but going back through the house, I noticed that some of the doors that he painted do not even look finished. They look like he did a half-assed single coat on them, and you can see where the roller was running out of paint, and he didn't bother go over them. Also, the paint on the doors does not fully cover them. Overall, the paint job looks horrible, and I cannot afford to pay someone else to fix his mistake."
