"When I first visited Carpet One, I wasn't sure what I wanted or what Carpet One could do for me. Neil Holloway was very helpful in giving me a brief explanation of different types of carpets and showing me around the store. He was really good at describing exactly how they could create a rug from their carpeting and what different options would cost me. He then left me to look around on my own, which I really appreciated. When I picked the type of carpet I wanted to use, I still wasn't sure about the color, so he let me take the sample home with me to figure out which color would look best in my living room. (And it turned out, the color I was originally leaning towards clashed with my wall color, and another color was actually a perfect match. Taking the samples home was crucial!!) Before I left the store that first time, he gave me a quote and that was the exact price that he charged me when I picked up the rug! It was ready 2 weeks later. The rug is the exact dimensions I ordered, so it fits perfectly. The color is exactly what the sample looked like. The rug is high quality and the binding looks very professionally done. Two pieces had to be bound together to create my unique dimesions, but the seam is completely hidden and unoticeable. Overall, the price was very reasonable, the employee was very knowledgable and helpful, the quote was given to me right away and never changed, there were a large variety of carpets to choose from, the rug was made very quickly, and the finished product was a high quality and exactly what I pictured it would look like. I was very impressed with my entire experience with Carpet One. <br />"

.. COST IS DETERMINED BY THE JOB. TRAVEL CHARGE Min. $ 50.00 \nEMERGENCY SERVICE CHARGE $125 - $250 \n \n * 1 room $ 55.00 \n \n * 2 rooms and hall $ 99.95 \n \n * 3 rooms and hall $149.95 \n \nCost depends on the area cleaned, method of cleaning and condition of the carpet. \n \nThink about how dirty your carpet is, when you last had it cleaned, and if you have any spots or stains that need to be removed. It costs a certain amount of money to bring a technician, truck and supplies to every job, no matter what the size. \n \nFor JCS, that minimum charge is $55.00. \n \nIICRC Standards require dry vacuuming, pre-spotting, pretreatment of carpet fibers, hot water extraction cleaning, application of protector, if requested, and grooming of the carpet. \n \nSpots such as red stains, rust and printer inks etc … require additional treatment above and beyond basic cleaning. The cost of these services is $5 per square foot. If the stains can be removed over time can tell. \n \n \nThis cleaning is priced based on the amount of time and material required. Carpet protector, such as Scotchguard or Teflon, are $.35 per square foot, while steps cost $3.00 each. \n \nComplete estimates can be done over the phone and then confirmed by the technician when they arrive. \n \n \nAt minimum, your carpet should be professionally cleaned once per year. This is a minimum and you should expect the carpet to need a corrective or restorative cleaning. JCS recommends monthly cleanings for high-traffic areas, and quarterly cleanings for medium-traffic areas. This type of program is a maintenance program which will keep your building looking professional while prolonging the life of the carpet. \nKeep in mind that carpet cleaning cannot correct or stop wear. Wear is, in fact, the loss of fiber. \nWhat method is best? \nThere are several types of carpet cleaning, depending on what your needs are. For pure cleaning ability, Truck-Mounted Hot Water extraction works best. For appearance and lowest cost, bonnet cleaning works best. JCS will work with you to select the best method to suit your needs. \nJCS adheres to IICRC standards when performing professional, on-location commercial carpet cleaning.

"We had three quotes from local firms. GA Floors was the lowest cost of the three with comparable quality. ?Highest estimate was $22000, next highest was $17000. GA Floors was $15500. Installation went smoothly. The installers, husband and wife team, were very friendly, very skilled, and easy going. The job was initially estimated to take 3 or 3 1/2 days, it actually took 5 days but it was a very big job. Lots of furniture to move. One mistake was when GA floors gave them some carpet from two different rolls for one of the bedrooms, so the direction of a 3' swath was different than the rest of the room. ?GA floors replaced the carpet the next day without question. Very professional. Everyone likes the way the carpet and hardwood turned out. ?We are very happy with the results, the price and the overall experience."

"Laura came and did the estimate within 48 hours of initial contact. Flooring was paid for and ordered the day of the estimate. Flooring was delivered within 48 hours of order and flooring was installed 48 hours later. The installers moved the furniture in the bedroom and moved the appliances in the kitchen. When they were moving the oven out Wes noticed that there was a problem with the wiring and he went above and beyond to fix that wiring so that my mom, who is a recent widow, was safe and sound. He was concerned that there may be a fire and he would not leave until he had fixed the problem for her. All this at no extra charge!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Dadeville, AL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
