"The team from McLaughlin Weatherization, who completed the work from my Mass Save Program energy audit to install insulation in my attic was AWESOME! They were a team of 3, who ensured the job got done efficiently and well. Professional, courteous and personable! I was very pleased with how they entered my home, treated my home and me while in it and when they left they even brushed up the very last of any dirt they might have brought in. I cannot rave enough about how great the experience was because I was able to work downstairs and stay out of their way but they definitely went above and beyond in my opinion! I didn't know the front door would get a package of weather stripping too. So while that was nice, the guy in charge of the team of 3 not only removed the old to install the new, the front door closes properly now! I cannot thank you enough for this small act of kindness (even if it was fixed with the new trim) because I had been so worried about my kitties getting out one day because the latch would not catch to keep the door closed. Also, the senior member leading the team demonstrated his years of experience and knowledge and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this company as a partner for Mass Save and I would personally pay them for any future work needed if not covered by Mass Save."

Not only did they do what was in the original contract, but they also added insulation to our garage ceiling AND to an open wall that was being worked on for an unrelated home reno project! "I hired Bob to install a new induction range, replacing a cooktop and cutting some of the stone countertop. He also replaced the existing hood vent with an over-the-range microwave. He was very knowledgeable and was able to do all of the work involved by himself. (Two other people that I spoke with could only do one part of the work and had no idea who could help me with the other parts.) Bob knew exactly what needed to be done and gave me a quote that was very reasonable. He worked with us to figure out how to make it look like everything had originally been installed that way. He showed up on the days he promised and let us know when he was running late (he was only 15 minutes late). "I have done a lot of research into soundproofing and had a quite a few contractors stop by for an evaluation and a quote over the past couple years, and Robert stood out with his friendly demeanor, level of knowledge, and being easy to talk to; he seemed to have good experience in soundproofing and actually knew soundproofing concepts I'd read up on earlier (surprisingly many other drywall contractors were either evasive in rating their confidence in their proposed projects or simply did not have good plans or knowledge of options). He worked with me on a plan to redo a wall separating my bedroom from noisy neighbors, and the result is excellent! Robert and his team have turned a single stud wall into a decoupled double stud wall, with all the right elements for soundproofing, such as quality insulation, acoustic caulk and dampening compound (both by Green Glue), socket putty, etc. Robert's choice of materials was well informed, and the quality of his work was very good, neat, and precise. I could tell he enjoys doing his work well. He cleaned up after the job was done, and the new wall was perfectly plastered--all I had left to do was to paint (which I enjoy doing myself). The total expense was very reasonable for the cost of materials and labor. I also appreciated that Robert always kept me up-to-date on his schedule and coordinated his visits--great communication. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the experience and glad that I found Robert and his team! I can heartily recommend his services for your drywall and related projects! I'd like to also note for general reference that soundproofing is a global project: learn the weak areas where the sound travels--it's frequently not just your walls, but also through your floors and through your ceilings, including from neighbors on the same floor as you! You may think that just fixing one area will solve everything, but sound wave propagation needs to be considered from all directions/sources, and week areas need to be identified: e.g. you may need to redo your wall and your floor, for example, or your wall and your ceiling, or all 3 at once, depending on your exact needs and situation."
