"How did it go?  Considering our problem began without any warning and was unlike anything I've ever encountered in my 42 years of home ownership, I needed someone who could  "hunt down" the source of my electrical problems.  This could have been a time consuming project and cost me MUCH more than what I was charged.  Turns out Mr Dozier has over forty years experience and he used it all to systemically trace down my problem  Considering the myriad of symptoms occurring, he had to sort thru them before he could determine what to check. After going thru my home's interior, he arrived at the house's outside connection - the meter box, where one of my circuit breakers was failing.  He then determined that further problems were on the Alabama Power side of the system and shortcut the interaction with Alabama Power for me by what I consider to be hours of frustrating telephone time.  He waited until the linesman from Alabama Power arrived and handled the explanation of the problem, saving me additional frustration and time. I'm not an electrician and could have never solved this problem myself.  We couldn't cook, use many of the rooms which had no electricity and in the summer heat of Mobile, we had no A/C!  If he wasn't honest, he could have taken much more time than he did to "solve" my problem and pad his billing.  He also could have left me to contact Alabama Power and leave me to deal with Alabama Power's bureaucracy. "Third time wasn't a charm, unfortunately,
Immediately after Mr. Harvey left I turned on the overhead light, plugged in the vacuum and 'pop' goes the breaker for the master bedroom. And it kept happening.
So I left a voice mail message the next morning.
And afternoon.
And late afternoon.
And then an email through Angie's List.
No response for three days and unable to use anything electric in the master bedroom (computer, telephone, stereo, lights).
So I called South Baldwin Electrical and they were out within two hours.
Made a few adjustments in the three-pole wiring and everything is fine.

Still have the crooked closet light installation with the 2" gap between the base and the glass panes but I'll deal with that later.

All this could have been avoided if Mr. Harvey had responded to any of the messages.

I took advantage of a coupon offered by the contractor to have a new ceiling fan installed for $74.00 which was a good value, since price quotes I had received for the job from other contractors ranged from $100.00 to $200.00. 

I received a email from the owner, Sam Shorrosh, within hours of purchasing the coupon.  He was professional and articulate and scheduled a appointment within 48 hours; not for lack of work but because he was willing to come after hours on a weekend to complete the job as soon as possible if I was agreeable,

Sam Shorrosh, called prior to the appointment to confirm and arrived on time.  He wore a shirt clearly identifying the name of his company, "Help Around The House", and was clean, neat, and professional.

Before removing the existing fan Sam, after a quick inspection, ask if I would prefer the existing fan to be repaired if possible or just replaced with the new fan I already had on hand?  Since the fan was relatively new, just out of warranty, I opted for the repair.  Within thirty minutes he had made the necessary repairs to the fan saving me $180.00, the cost of the new fan.

Since I purchased a coupon to have a fan installed I did not take note of the name of his business until he actually arrived, assuming he must be an electrician.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out that he and his contractors are much more than electricians, as the business name suggest "Help Around The House", they can complete most any job a homeowner would need to accomplish around the house.

I have already ask Sam to give me quotes on a few odds and ends I need completed around the house and would certainly recommend him to family and friends.
