The contractor was very helpful in helping my wife with the design of the kitchen. The contractor was always responsive to my concerns. The house we are working on is a 1911 Victorian and has problems specific to older homes. We plan on additional restoration and will certainly contact Independent Home Inspections for their services."

"I was disappointed that two hours wasn't long enough to complete the job. I was told 3 coats of paint were necessary, which slowed the process. I would have put one coat on the entire structure and then painted the second coat, instead of applying 3 coats to one section, before starting the rest of the structure."

"It went really well, better than expected. Mr. King was great to work with as he provided me several options for water proofing (for the future) and he installed a sump pump which is what I needed as the first step. He was on time, cleaned up after the job was done (and during) and wanted to make sure we were very happy with his work. I waited to do a review because I wanted to see how the sump pump worked after rain. We have had a couple of good rain events since it was installed and we heard it working and doing its job. The unit is a little loud, but knowing it is working and moving the water out of the crawlspace is all that matters to me."

"The service worked out good. They came out and did their job. The first day, I think we had to reschedule, but once they started working, they were right on-time, got it done, and they cleaned-up after themselves. I did ask them a question to see about something else and they never got back to me about that. So, they never did a follow-up once they had completed their job. I guess they just moved on and I had two more small jobs I thought he could handle, but he never came back to follow-up on those. The price was a really good price. It was a special so it was not their normal price. It looks good."
