"Alex and his team did a great job. Quote for doing the work was competitive and they worked with me on pricing regarding an underlayment issue that came up during the installment that needed to be corrected to do the job correctly. The floors looked so good after completing, I’m having them do another area in my home. I highly recommended them."

"If you want beautiful flooring for your home, Olga is a wonderful professional, who can provide high quality work at a reasonable price. She is reliable in her estimate and her anticipated end date to the work. She is responsive and quick to communicate. If there is a decision to be made, she provides guidance, but also honors the home owner’s choices. I highly recommend Olga and her team, and would certainly use her again."

"I am a property owner managing a floor install from states away - but Brunswick Floors made it all happen seamlessly! I had to have a specific thickness of soundproofing for a second floor unit and Ed Keller did the research to find a product that would fit the bill. He went above and beyond. The install ran into some issues with the subfloor company (the HOA insisted a DIFFERENT company do the subfloor replacement) but Brunswick Floor went above and beyond to work with that organization and get everything done by the time the renter arrived."

"Stair runner was installed crooked and nails poking thru carpet. I have been trying to get it fixed for 6 months. Do not sign anything they give you unless you are 100% satisfied and you have read the paperwork. The second crew that came out to look at the issue tried to get me to sign a form. They said "it just says that we came out". That is not what it said. It said that the problem was fixed and that there are no more issues. They show up and say they will come back, then they don't come back. They took the remnant of my carpet to bind and "fix" the problem when they come back. Then, they didn't come back. And after each time they don't show or show and don't fix it, I get a text asking if I'm satisfied. Each time, we call and say we are not satisfied. There is no end to this experience. I am going for a full refund from Home Depot and asking them never to use this company again."

"We had Empire install new carpet in 3 bedrooms. I have been attempting to have warranty work done to correct poor installation for several years. I called and was told by the operator that an installer would be calling me to make an appointment for repairs. After not hearing back for several weeks to a few months, I would call again. I would told the same thing and then again wait for a call. I have called repeatedly over the past 2 years with no resolution. Finally, a few weeks ago an operator made an appointment for me. On the day of the appointment, the serviceman called to say he was on his way. I asked if he would make the repairs today or just evaluation the situation. Mr. Hanania told he was not a repairman but a salesman. He then asked for my email and sent a notice to his supervisors. I was called a few hours later by an operator named Beth to say the appointment could not be kept because Mr. Hanania was experiencing car trouble. (BLATANT LIE) Someone named Michelle finally called and told me that there were NO RECORDS of my repeated calls (big surprise) so they would not honor any warranty. They quoted me a price of almost $400 to correct the installation because I haven't paid to have the carpets professionally cleaned. I have no need to have them cleaned as I do not have pets or children, nor wear shoes indoors. This has been a blatant attempt to avoid honoring the warranty. The level of unprofessionalism, blatant lies, and lack of quality service is unacceptable."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Dawsonville, GA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
