"Very well. I was skeptical at first but Mr Miller put me at ease by sending his information and was very transparent. He said he would be at the location at a specific time, and was. Mr. Miller did a great job staining and keeping me informed of his progress through sending pictures and calling me. I would highly recommend him to anyone and will be using him again for my future projects."

"We received several quotes for whole house plantation shutters, with 3" wide louvers and no tilt rods. Acadia's proposal process was excellent - informative, but not high pressure. Once we committed to the purchase, we made a 50% deposit and were told that delivery would be 10-12 weeks. Acadia called us about 8 weeks later to say that there had been a cancellation and scheduled us for the following week. Installer Brian arrived on the expected day and completed the job in a most professional fashion: not intrusive, willing to work around my WFH family member, and leaving a clean job site. An excellent experience all around, and my new shutters look fantastic."

"Earthly Matters Contracting did an awesome job painting the exterior of my home, staining my deck and painting the interior of my garage. This is the second time I have used them and they did not disappoint! Aside from doing an excellent job, they were very respectful and cleaned up the work site at the end of each day. Pat Winchester was thorough in his assessment of repairs needed, and was on site each day to assess the progress of the job. If you are looking for a business that does exemplary work in a professional manner, look no further than Earthly Matters. Call Pat Winchester at 404-434-7513, and ask for the crew led by Gilberto. They were great guys."

"The folks at Exovations are the rock stars of the exterior home remodeling world. In spring 2021, Exovations turned our old deck into a gorgeous screened porch with a gable roof. From start to finish, everyone we dealt with was straightforward and graciously handled our endless questions. Our main initial concern with the project was adding a roofline over the deck and whether it would create any water drainage issues coming off the roof. But Josh and his crew, who did the bulk of the framing/carpentry work, did an incredible job with it. Our project manager, Ben Boyd, was also fantastic to work with, extremely responsive to calls and texts, and basically was willing to do whatever it took to make the customer happy. Ben was also on the same page with us about any concerns we had over small details and was quick to address them. Our initial contact in the project was sales rep Jim McCulloch and he (like Ben) was extremely patient and answered our many, many questions about products and design ideas. Exovations also replaced our front door insert (door, two sidelights and a half-circle transom) with a new composite unit with rain glass. We were extremely happy with how everything turned out and would use Exovations again without a second thought."

"I would strongly recommend Lopez Painting for any of your painting or staining needs. The team that worked in our home were professional, friendly and went above and beyond to prepare walls and took time to cover our hard wood floors and furniture/cabinets. Jose and Mireya did an amazing job and we were so happy with the results. We have 29' high prowl windows and this team was extraordinary in painting in high spaces without having paint spots on floor! I will definitely hire Lopez Painting for any future indoor or outdoor painting or staining work. Their prices were extremely fair and the overall painting project exceeded our expectations. Thank you for your hard work, long hours each day and for beautify our home."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Dawsonville, GA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
