"I can’t say enough good things about Randy and Carpet Stretch and Rescuecue. We had some bad wrinkling in our carpets throughout the house. Randy did an EXCELLENT job in smoothing out all the wrinkles! He also patched a piece of carpet that my dog had chewed on. Randy is a great guy and very easy to work with. I highly recommend this company!"

"I can't say enough good things about this company. We chose Cascade because of their stellar Angie's List reviews and we were not disappointed. Terry was so friendly and knowledgeable about the product (Mohawk Smartstrand) and didn't try and upsell us on any one particular choice. His partner, Dave, came out on a Saturday to measure and give us an estimate. Their pricing is fair and the work they do completely thorough and they drove an hour south to work on our house in Hudson. After we committed, our carpet came in the following week and Dave scheduled us immediately. They showed up when we arranged and got it done in two days. Poor Dave, we have what they call "Hollywood Stairs" - open treads with a railing on one side - which are not easy to measure and install. But he very carefully installed two staircases worth of these and they look fantastic. Everyone at Cascade was a pleasure to work with and I can't recommend them highly enough. Thanks, guys, it's been a month and I am still completely in love with my soft, new carpet."

"Patrick came out the day after I called. He looked at the floor and told me I did not need to remove the adhesive before I put down new carpet. The adhesive is no longer tacky but I was afraid if we got water in the basement again, the adhesive might wick up through the new carpet. I cannot tell you how happy I was just to find someone who would even consider doing this sort of work but then to meet someone so honest about what needed to be done.was just amazing! <br /> Thank you Patrick for both your responsiveness and honest assessment of the work that was needed. I will refer this company to anyone I know and will use them if I have the need in the future. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Jeremy was pleasant and professional. . The carpet and area rugs came out much cleaner than I had expected. However the return of the most seriously stained rug was terrible. I did appreciate the substantial discount when it was delivered."

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Deer Park, WI

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
