"From start to finish, Jeff Bowen and his employees at Bowen Contracting Inc. were top notch. They redefine what it means to be professional, hard working, and genuine. We received Jeff's name/number from a family member who had Bowen Contracting put in a new deck at his house. After seeing how perfect his deck came out, we called Jeff Bowen the next morning. Jeff came out later that day to give us an estimate. My wife and I were sold almost immediately. Jeff answered ALL of our questions (and we had a lot) with an expertise and confidence that was reassuring and welcomed. He was patient and thorough in describing the entire process and timeline. He even offered assistance with some contracting knowledge on a DIY project I was working on in my house at the time. We told him what we had in mind, and he guided us in a direction that worked not only for us and our budget, but also what would look best with our house and yard space. He kept us in the loop through the entire process, answered all our emails/texts in a timely fashion, and never tried to keep anything hidden. If it was not for the many days of rain we had during the building stages, the deck would have been finished in under a week for sure. I was lucky enough to be home in the final two days of their work on the deck. It was a delight not only to meet and talk to his men, but also see them work. They are a genuine small town business with truly classy employees willing to share a word or two, helping you feel comfortable with the fact that they are treating your home like their own and better. They are a well-oiled machine for sure. The precise manner in which they work and the product they offer is second to none. Every cut is perfect. Every screw hole in perfect line and spacing from the next. And beyond that, the hour or more they spent cleaning the deck and the surrounding yard space before they left shows how much they care. They cleaned EVERY spindle top to bottom, mopped and hosed down the deck, and cleaned the grass of every screw, wood chip, etc. They really take GREAT PRIDE in what they do, and it shows in how they work, how they carry themselves, and how they interact with customers. We are truly grateful to have hired Bowen Contracting and have shared his card with ALL of our neighbors--one of whom has already hired him for their own deck. We would like to finish our basement in the near future, and Jeff Bowen and Bowen Contracting Inc. will surely be our first call. We are eternally grateful for their expertise, stress free contract/service, and unparalleled pride they have in what they do."

Sometimes all it takes is a response for your work needed request, with that being said Veterans Construction was not only the quickest to respond they were the only one to respond! Guess my 12x16 deck in Composite material wasn't a big enough job for any others? After first call from Veterans Construction which was shortly after my request was made. Mike came out the next morning like he said he would; to go over the ideas I had for my deck. He put together some plans and drew them up and had them along with plans and pictures e-mailed to me in the time frame he gave me. Well, we agreed on price, plans and time frames. After sleeping on it for a night I called Mike the next morning with some hesitation due to wanting to change my plans on deck design some. "I hired this company to replace an existing wooden deck with Trex. I was impressed with the owner of the company. I previously got quotes for the job and this company was substantially cheaper. I dealt with many contractors over the years as an attorney in the construction field and this was one of the best that I ever dealt with. Everything that I was told about the job was absolutely spot on from costs to time of completion. Also, the personal service by the contractor was unique. He was there every day that work was being done and would not accept anything but quality workmanship from his workers. Since I was not exactly sure of what design combinations I wanted, he took me to the material supplier to get a better idea of what was possible. I would use this contractor again and recommend him to about that I know."

"We hired Vic to completely demo & renovate our kitchen. His team knocked down a couple walls, moved duct work around, painted, redid original hardwood floors to match existing, installed cabinets, lights, windows and doors. A soup-to-nuts project with a great price and great customer service/team. The only reason we gave 4.5 and not a 5 star rating is because we had an issue with the HVAC team - when they moved duct work around, we immediate noticed there was no flow in the babies room. They did nothing for 2 weeks and when they looked at it they told us there was nothing they can do. Obviously we cannot go w/o heat in the nursery so we were forced to put a lot of pressure on them to figure it out. They had to undo the newly installed sheetrock and try a few other things but eventually got it to work. In summary, highly recommend Vic and we will definitely be working with him again in the future."
