"Outstanding! I wanted a thorough inspection of my home to identify any issues I might be facing now and in the future. I live alone and have little knowledge of home repairs. Dan and Tina put me at ease right away and patiently explained their process. Through the buying and selling of several houses I thought I knew what to expect of a home inspection. Let me just say, this FAR exceeded my expectations! Dan and Tina arrived promptly on time and spent nearly five hours going over my 1900sf home. From the roof to the crawlspace and everything in between, they examined/tested every component of my home. Problems identified were explained in detail with recommendations. At my request, I was also given recommendations for reliable contractors that could perform necessary repairs. All American Inspections could not have been more helpful and I would not hesitate to use them again for a fair, honest and helpful home inspection."

"David is a pleasure to deal with. He really tries to offer you his full attention and best service. His team was friendly and professional. He painted numerous surfaces in our house - from easy to more technical/difficult. He had great suggestions on how to handle the trickier projects. He also stands behind his work and will fix anything that needs updating. I would (and am) definitely hiring David/Brooks again!"

"When I came home from work the water line on the back of the toilet had popped off and flooded our home. There was about 2 inches of water throughout the 1st floor of our home. Our rugs were wet, our wood floors had standing water on top of them and it seemed as if everything was destroyed. One of my best friends had a similar event happen in their home a few years back so I called them and asked them who they used and they told me Guarantee Service Team, so I called them about 6 pm they said that they would come out that night and get started. 1 hour later their crew showed up at my house and started sucking the water out! I was amazed that they had people that would come out that late, they stayed that night till about midnight sucking out the water and setting up fans to start drying everything out. They told me that they would be back the next morning becuase they would need to tear out the wet floors, baseboards and drywall. My wood floors ran throughout the 1st floor of my home so they called the insurance company and got it approved so that they could pack out all of my things on the first floor. I told them that I wanted my things to be in climate controlled storage becuase I have very expensive furniture and did not want it to get damaged and to my surprise they told me that they had climate controlled storage at their facility. I was very surprised to hear that but was invited to view their warehouse and when I did I was very impressed, it was like they hundreds of mini PODS to store things in. Once they had finished tearing out everything and drying out my home the adjuster came out and I was worried from the horror stories I had heard that I was going to have trouble getting my house fixed for what the insurance company paid. Guarantee said that they could work with the adjuster and that I did not have to worry about the price because they were on the same program as the insruance compnay. They assured me that they did this all the time and they could handle it. Well sure enough when the adjuster showed up the project manager with Guarantee knew him and they had worked together many times! After about an hour of reviewing everything Guarantee told that they had everything agreed with the insurance company and would be able to get started immediatly. Before they started the work I was provided with a schedule and calendar showing me exactly what was going to happen in my house. I was allowed to pick out all of my materials and acutally was able to upgrade my flooring at no additional cost! Once everything was done they brought all of my things back to my home and set them back up the way they were before. I have very large nice furniture and was amazed that nothing was scratched, broken or even knicked during the move out or move back! From start to finish I have to say that I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff at Guarantee, attention to detail that they paid to me and my things, and the quality of the work that was done at the end of the job! I would reccommend them to anyone. <br />"

"Excellent. The 100-year old home consists of an upper unit and a lower unit. Each unit has its own challenges. Buddy did the inspection and we were very pleased with his thoroughness and attention to detail. He is very easy to work with and has a great deal of knowledge about the quirks of older homes. We learned a lot about the house from him. Highest recommendation."

FAQs for toxic lead testing projects in Des Allemands, LA

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a strong chance it contains lead-based paint. Many pre-1980 houses also contain lead in their plumbing and decorative materials, so age alone is a significant red flag. Older homes near industrial areas face an even higher risk. Because you can’t confirm lead by sight, scheduling a test is the safest way to protect your family.

In older houses, lead can lurk in painted trim, window sashes, soil around the foundation, plumbing pipes, and even vintage hardware. The metal is toxic, and children and pregnant women are most at risk. Exposure can trigger developmental delays, learning problems, and organ damage. Because the EPA links even low levels to serious health effects, test every suspected surface and address any hazards right away.

A positive test means lead is present somewhere you can touch, breathe, or disturb. The next step is a full risk assessment to map exactly where the hazard lies and outline the safest fix: encapsulation, enclosure, or full removal. Repairs start at $1,000 but can exceed $10,000 for complete elimination, so act quickly and hire certified pros to keep your family safe.

EPA lead certification proves that inspectors, risk assessors, and abatement contractors follow federal safety rules under the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program. The credential costs an average of $300, and certified professionals can legally test, contain, or remove lead hazards. Hiring a certified pro protects you from fines and ensures the work meets strict health standards.

Lead-based paint looks no different from any other paint, so you can’t identify it by color or sheen. Even flawless walls may hide it. If paint starts chipping, flaking, or peeling, schedule a professional test right away. Only laboratory-grade testing confirms lead and guides the safest fix for your home.
