"In general J&S Plumbing is very responsive, they went out of their way to install a new water heater for us, in a tight space, within just a couple days of my first call. As for plumbing services, they mentioned that they do not charge extra for work in the evenings or on weekends, which many other companies do. The first power-vented water heater they put in had an issue with condensation drip-back, which caused the burner to have intermittent problems keeping the pilot light going. J&S was very professional and responsive to the problem. A month after the initial install, they ended up replacing with another brand new water heater, quickly and at no cost to us."

"My old hot water heater died, and a friend installed a new small 40 gal tank. But I never had hot water after that. I also had a leaking lead pipe. Patrick came and had to be a sleuth to try to determine the cause of the missing hot water. The tank was too small and not functioning, but the real problem was a crossed pipe somewhere in my 1890 house. He found the pipe location in the basement and put in a shut off valve, which gave most of the house hot water. He also put in a high quality 50 gallon tank, and repaired the leaking lead main. To completely fix the hot water, it will mean opening walls, so we left a small 1/2 bath sink and attic sink to be fixed at a later time (or not....).. This was all around Easter, but he put in long days to get it all done."

We called probably 6-7 different companies to come out and give us estimates, but we were never really thrilled with any of those companies, especially after reading reviews. Skip forward a few weeks, and a check valve on our sump pump went out, so water sprayed all over the closet where the sump pump was kept, on a Saturday. Steve made it out in probably 45 minutes or so, if that, and did a fix. The pump itself was old, and the battery backup was not functional, so I decided to have the whole thing replaced. A few days later, the job was done. I was impressed by Steve, and saw that they did HVAC work, so I decided to have them do an estimate on a new A/C and Furnace. Later the same day, the owner of the company came out and gave us an estimate. There was no pressure whatsoever to make a purchase, the conversation was just matter of fact about what we needed and what we didn't need. We live in a town that technically requires permits to do work like this, but every provider up until TopTec said that we could get away without doing the permits, so why pay the money. TopTec encouraged us to do the permits so we'd have a third party review their work to ensure it was done right for our own peace of mind. This really told me that not only they were confident in their work, but also that what was going to be done would be up to code. I had been toying with getting a new hot water heater based on how old ours was, so we decided to have them do that too. The workers were thoughtful and explained everything in detail. They don't subcontract. If you are looking for the absolute cheapest provider, these guys probably aren't for you. But, if you want the job done right, thoroughly, and with high end products, this guys are the route you want to go. It's so hard to find providers you can trust, but I really feel like they earn the high review scores they got if you do your research. I'll definitely have more work for them in the future."

Since I've only lived here five years and had no idea when it was last cleaned, I also had him clean out water heater. He did an excellent job on both, replaced my furnace filter, and left the area cleaned. He explained everything he did, answered all my questions and said my water heater was very dirty and should now run more efficient."
