Training was done by a superb trainer that our dog took to immediately. You can tell they care about their profession as well as the animal. A year later, damage was done by a third party. Lance himself showed up promptly on a holiday weekend to fix the fence and save our weekend. I can't recommend Lance's Hidden Fencing enough. A+ job."

"We called for a quote, asking specifically if they also did the eaves trough, and they called back within a half hour and gave us the quote for the house and eaves trough. He said he pulled up a picture of our house online and quoted it that way. We were a little uneasy about this because our house is a Cape Cod in the front, but the back is a full-size two-story house. The quote sounded reasonable, so we hired them. They came out within a few days, and were actually early. The two-man crew was very nice and friendly. They immediately told my wife that there was a problem, that they may not have enough hose and asked if they could use our hose, which was fine and they did. When they were done, my wife went out and looked at the work with them, although that was her idea, not theirs. A good part of the eaves trough was untouched, including one of the end caps which was still black with dirt and mold. When she asked about that, they told her it was "staining" that wouldn't come off. On the side of the house that was the worst, with the most mold, they told her they couldn't get some spots because the slope of the land made it unsafe, so the bottom half was done, but not the upper half. The dormers on the front of the house are done, but there are places that were missed. Unfortunately, I wasn't there or I wouldn't have paid them the total amount. I know that the eaves troughs can be cleaned better because I did them last time, and got almost all of the mold off--it just takes a little elbow grease! There are parts of the eaves trough that you can see where they cleaned and it looks good, but just missed another spot further on and left it like that. We expected a professional job because of the good reviews we read on Angie's List, but I could have done a better job myself, for free! Maybe it was just the team we were sent, but we were disappointed in the result. These people were totally unprepared to do the job. They did not have the proper hoses, ladders, etc. Our house is not what you would consider a really large house, so how do they do other, larger homes??"

"Update.  Within hours of my original posting below, I got a call from the owner who was clearly upset by the oversight and wanted to make it right.  Within a couple of days he was here applying the finishing touches and  refilling the holes.  I am now satisfied with the completion of the job.  ( Previous post: The initial walkway installation went well.  The only glitch was the owner never followed up to allow my wife to pick the color pavers she wanted.  Fortunately the ones his crew brought were OK with my wife.  We also got a quote for a second phase that was to include a rock creek bed plus drywells to deal with flooding in a part of our yard. Given the sidewalk was done in early Oct 2014, the part 2 would be in spring 2015.  To confirm the source of the flooding,  the owner suggested digging several deep holes that October which we agreed.  However later in 2014 we decided not to do phase 2. In spring 2015, I contacted the owner via email and asked them to come back to seal the new walkway and refill the holes.  That was in May/June.  I was told it would take a few weeks to get to us due to other jobs.   After 4 weeks and no crew or update, I called and was told "sorry, it's been crazy with all this rain.  I will have a crew there in two weeks".  Another 4 weeks passed, and when I contacted him a  third time, again I got more apologies and sorries and a promise to take care of it "right away"  That was mid-Aug.  It's now late Sept.  Now I'm forced to find some one else to clean up their incomplete job.)"

"Handyman Matters did a great job of repairing very large hole in finished basement drywall including painting to match existing color.  Also installed vanity / sink / light fixture / mirror / baseboard / towel racks in bathroom plus painting the room.  Looks great, price was reasonable, and quality of work was very high.  The company was very efficient in producing quotes and meeting the promised schedule.
