They responded immediately to my request for an estimate for leave clean-up, gutter clean-up, and gutter repair. Edwin arrived promptly the next day. He gave me an estimate that was reasonable and offered to clean the gutters and fix the gutters on the spot that day while arranging for the leave clean-up the following week. He did a great job on both items. I appreciated that Edwin responded to my weather-related concern to get the leave clean-up done earlier. He somehow squeezed me into his busy schedule to avoid the upcoming inclement weather forecast for our arranged day. Edwin maintains great communication so you know what is going on. He did an outstanding job on the leave clean-up blowing, raking, and bagging. My yard was impeccable. He also fixed the mortar missing in my chimney, something he had noticed when he fixed my gutters. Edwin learned that he also does snow removal so I got on his list for that. "Overall, I had an outstanding experience with everyone from John Krause Construction. Their customer service was most impressive. They asked about and worked around my schedule, were all prompt, courteous and friendly, and showed a true desire to complete the work to my satisfaction. Their explanations of the work to be done and the time it would take were clear and accurate. They started the work in less than a week after I signed the contract, and completed it in a week. This was well beyond my expectations since a lot needed to be done, including drywall repair and painting some hard to reach areas, shingle repair, gutter cleaning, and concrete step repair. Their cost estimate was competitive and fair. There were a couple hiccups along the way, including matching the interior paint color and trouble with installing a door handle, but everything worked out ok. "This work took place eleven months ago, but that gives us the ability to say that everything Kurt’s team planted looks great and is growing nicely, except one bush that is struggling, which Kurt agreed to replace without hesitation. We have been in our house for 22 years, and finally got around to replacing the crummy landscaping and walkway the developer put in. Distinct Landscapes installed a paver walkway, and a complete set of bushes, flowers and a crape myrtle tree. The work was done very well and within budget, and the crew distinguished itself by how well they cleaned up the site. The spacing between plantings to allow for future growth seems perfect. Most of all we like Kurt. He is low-key and friendly, offers solid, knowledgeable opinions when asked, and never applies any sort of sales pressure. We would use Distinct Landscapes again, and recommend them without hesitation."
