I think it was ground-in dough from a baking session. Given that, I was glad I did not have the grout sealed. I was annoyed that the lead technician, in discussing grout sealing, tried hard and insistently to persuade me that the grout was originally light-colored instead of the dark color I had selected and know to have been used. My wife and I chose everything in this kitchen when we redid it."
