"We hired Plymouth Meeting Nursery to completely transform the exterior landscape of our 100+ year-old home, where we live with our three young children and our ever-faithful golden retriever. As a licensed landscape architect, we approached this project with high standards and were looking for a contractor who offered fair, transparent pricing, excellent craftsmanship, and timely execution. Plymouth Meeting Nursery delivered on all counts. The scope of work was extensive and included the demolition of all existing landscaping, a deck, concrete walkways, fencing, and excess soil. In its place, the team installed new fencing, a beautiful cedar pergola, repointed brickwork on our home, irrigation, a synthetic lawn alongside fresh sod and thoughtfully selected plantings, outdoor lighting, a stunning bluestone patio with brick steps and retaining wall, a brick and bluestone fireplace, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen featuring a grill, sink, ice maker, and refrigerator. The project spanned nearly five months, during which a few scope changes arose. Each one was handled professionally and flexibly by John and his team. "Company was extremely responsive and very easy to work with. Called back after initial contact within 24 hours. Dedicated sales rep that worked with us from beginning to end of process. No fuss, no exotic sales pitch. Walked the yard with me to get an idea of what I was looking for, and came up with solution to meet my needs. This included both the irrigation solution as well as the drainage solution. <br /> The quote came right in the middle of the range of all the other providers that I looked at. Top end quote completely over-engineered the estimate and solution, and was almost double the cost of Sharkey. The low end quote drove by the property and stuck an estimate in the mail box. <br /> With all the rain we had this year, the actual install date kept getting pushed, but I continually was kept informed and it worked out fine. Staff showed up on time, as promised, and finished the job per the commitment from our sales rep. We were out of town when the job wrapped up, but the sales rep came back a week later and did a full walk through of the system with me after the install (he also set up the system to run while we were out, which was nice). <br /> First service on the system was included in the price (the winterizing of the system). We were told that we would be contacted in the spring to boot up the system. <br /> All in all a very pleasant, relatively pain free experience. True test will be next summer when we have a normal, drier summer. <br />"

"Called to get estimate to replace sprinkler conrol box. Beau gave estimate over the phone, was able to replace box right away, instructed us how to use new controls. Since he was so professional, we asked for estimate to replace broken section of our system. He gave reasonable estimate, did the work quickly. We were so pleased with his efficiency that we used his service to open and close our system until we moved. Recommended him to our home buyers. <br />"

"Pell Tree Company exceeded our expectations in every way!!! They provided recommendations, pruned several trees, cabled two of our tress, removed several very large trees, and ground the stumps. They had the equipment and skilled team to complete the job quickly and efficiently. They worked with great care lifting large portions of trees over our house as well as threading large portions of trees through other trees to get them to the curb. Daniel worked like an artist pruning our trees and was masterful along with his team while removing several of our very large trees. The results of his pruning turned out better than we imagined. The team was constantly cleaning up the area and left our property without debris each day with the exception of the large tree trunks that were hauled away at the end of the project. The entire company was very respectful and reliable. They left our yard looking better than when they arrived. As an unexpected bonus, we learned that Pell does installations, so Pell also replaced two very old yew bushes with two high quality Skip Laurels. We are very happy with the outcome of all of their work!"

"<p>My yard can be some what swampy if we have had substantial rain, so Ryan held off until it dried before coming in with a skid loader on tracks which he used to remove the bushes and roots. His men then dug out any remaining roots and leveled out the areas. They took down 3 tree limbs, one small mulberry tree and even cut up & removed a large branch which was in the creek and collecting debris. They put down top soil & grass seed.  They dug out a 4 X 20 foot bed around 4 azaleas and put down mulch. When they finished they cleaned up any and all debris. Would definitely use again.</p> <br />"

"John and his team did an excellent job with the gut renovation of our large tiled shower. He took the time to diagnose what had caused the cracking and shifting in our original concrete pan to make sure the rebuild would not have the same issues down the road. Tiling, grouting, trim, and moulding installation was exacting and looked great. While John was doing the shower we also asked if he could do several other completely unrelated jobs (re-build old, unsafe basement stairs, wire a socket and switch for a new light fixture, patch ceiling drywall) and he did a great job with those as well. Communication was very easy throughout the process - John always kept us aware of any issues and consulted with us immediately on decisions. We will be working with John and his team again."

"Have used them before for routine heating and A/C maintenance, which they do well. They also tried to install a new thermostat in a different location, but were unable to because of the way the house is built. instead, they will install a wireless thermostat. <br />"
