"Cory was on time, professional, and more importantly incredibly thorough during my new home inspection. He did a great job of explaining what he found in each room. He also did a wonderful job explaining what things were small fixes and what items should be done immediately due to safety reasons or things that should be done to prevent further maintenance issues in the future. I received his report within 24 hours and it was incredibly easy to read. It also helped during negotiations with the seller since we could be so specific on what was found. "We chose SureGuard even though we had better quotes from other companies because we were sold on promise that work would be completed by their crews and supervised by their foreman daily. We loved the idea of hiring a local business that uses their own crews. It was obvious once work began that SureGuard was subcontracting work to other companies, and they did not send their foreman with these crews. The paint crew arrived and didn’t seem to have a complete picture of the work to be performed. They were difficult to communicate with and we had questions about the quality of their workmanship. I ended up having to place calls with their office to address my concern. To SureGuards credit, they did send out someone the following morning and my concerns were addressed. The work did turn out ok in the end, however the process was stressful. Had we known they were going to sub out the work we would have gone with the other bids. I would consider them for roofing, which appears to be their core business."
