"Chris & his crew arrived on time, they had to remove the existing tree, plant the new tree and create a stone tree well around the nw tree.  It turned out just like we wanted.  They also installed some small shrubs for us to improve the overall appearance of our backyard.  We love it and get compliments on it all the time. <br /> Previous to doing this work for us, Chris & his team installed a paved patio and sidewalk in our backyard that we love.  That's why we knew we needed to go to him when we had this job come up.   <br /> We highly recommend this company for anyone who needs pavers, stone work or landscaping done.  They are reliable and do beautiful work! <br />"

"I bid approximately 10 different people across three categories: landscapers, contractors and masons. The landscapers were stumped given it was structural and it was graduated (grew from small to tall). The contractors were very matter of fact as were most of the masons; demo it and build it with this one brick style that they were accustomed to using. Scott came out and was very self-assured as to how he was going to tackle the project and he explained how he was going to do it and why. Prior to this however, on the phone, he sent us to his website to check out all the retaining walls he had previously done, both structural and more for esthetic purposes (my words) I will say. After he explained his approach, he then got out his brick catalog and gave us a couple of options then he would recommend. Then, he saw that we had a large tree nearby and recommended that perhaps we might want to go with a smooth vs. textured stone so that all the sap and other tree droppings wouldn't cling to the brick. This is the type of attention to detail that Scott brings to the project. He was right on budget, his team was very pleasant and very nice, and they were very clean when they were done. I would use them again in a minute. I am not sure that there isn't anything with stone that Scott hasn't done. <br />"

"The end result was very satisfying. The process was good, their people courteous, the clean up good. Now the skiploader distroyed the lawn they traversed and cut some cable TV cable lines. This was partly due to a storm that mucked everything up. They fixed it to everyone's satisfaction. They knew this would happen so they charged me about $400 upfront for the sod repair - which did nothing to improve the patio. The overall length was about 1 week to completion. Some of the requests I had in the specification had everyone else baffled on how to do it. For instance the raised planters at various contractors were built of brick at a considerable cost and lost patio space. The 4x4s they installed were a stroke of genius and were designed so concrete forms would not distroy the pavers over time. I am building the rest from the previous pan and decking. Now all of the pavers are visible including the "soldier course". The same applies to a small "retaining wall" - just 4 layers of stone 8x10 or thereabouts created a nice sitting place to boot. Other quotes seemed excessive in footprint requirements (and cost.) The "bumper guards" were a nice touch also The only questionable part was the "class 5" usage (I picked up a lot of jargon during this.) It went way over the 1 foot from the edge of the patio. I was watching them most of the time and noted to them that the cut off corner needed no preparation (class 5 and sand.) It was not all removed. By the way the requirement for 1 foot of prepared base from the edge of the patio was not noted to me before the construction. This might have changed the design."

"Barack, the owner of New Again Deck Renewal, was easy to work with, generous with his time and advice, and extremely fair in his pricing. He is a popular choice on Angie's list so he stays busy during the non-winter seasons and can be hard to schedule if you wait too long. Working through e-mails, I sent Barack photos of the current condition of the deck and he immediately offered me a couple of options - clean and stain or replace the deck planks. I asked him to come and look at the deck in person, so he did. Once he saw the actual deck he advised me to rip off the deck planks and replace them with new cedar. He assured me that the joists beneath the deck were sound. He suggested that I check out his site on the internet to see the recent work he'd done and to get a feel for different styles. "What you like is up to you," he said. "I can do whatever you want but you have to decide the look that you're comfortable with." So, I did that, and he then directed me to check out the Decks Direct site for railing options and prices. Barack sent me an estimate for his part of the project and carefully reviewed my choices of railing hardware. (I ended up spending about $2,000 for the metal railings). I thought Barack's estimate was very fair and, in addition, he gave me a substantial Angie's list discount. I provided a downpayment and we settled on an install date (trying to work between rainy days). I ordered the railing and had it shipped to my house. Everything went great. Barack and a partner were punctual and came and removed the old deck planks in one day and staged most of the new wood. He came back another day with a crew of four to cut and install the new wood and to assemble and install the railing hardware. The deck looks absolutely wonderful. Everything was cleaned up perfectly. We loved the experience. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to have the deck renewed! I highly recommend this company and, yes, I would use them again."

"We have 2 egress windows.  The second was only slightly affected and so was less urgent.  Drew came out within about a week and looked at both windows.  He gave us a range of options in price as well as in the magnitude and aesthetics of the work to be done.  He was very open about the effectiveness of the options.  Based on his recommendations we chose a lower cost option to reinforce the worst egress window well with carbon fiber and leave the second egress window alone for now.  the work was done promptly (within 10 days of the agreement) and with good quality.  We felt we had all the facts to make a good decision and are happy with the results. <br />"

"Everything went very well.  I had spent all summer trying to contact landscapers and waiting for replies that never came and finally, and fortunately, found Mickman Brothers.  I dealt with Paul, who kept me updated on everything, even if he was going to be a few minutes late for an appointment.  Our initial consultation was low key and he understood exactly what I was looking for and, importantly, what I was not looking for on this project at this time.  I made one tree-choice change.  The work was done, with just a 2-day delay, in a half day.  The crew was very hard-working and courteous, and they did a great job cleaning up. <br /> I have already told Paul I'll be contacting him in the spring of 2015 for Phase 2 of our project. <br />"

"This is an old review as the fence was installed a few years ago and I was looking them up again since I want to extend the fence and wanted to use them again if they still had good reviews. The fence is excellent and the team that installed it was very professional and prompt in getting the work done."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Dundas, MN

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
