"The patio install is fabulous. I asked about a patio install quote on Wednesday and it was installed on Saturday in only 7 hours. Nicolas was easy to get in touch with, had excellent communication, understood our needs, and most of all did top notch work and installed a beautiful patio! If you need a paver patio installed, I highly recommend Nicolas Hardscapes!"

"Our soil is all clay which has the highest risk of damaging a foundation as it alternates between wet and dry. Even a light rain would leave us a soggy yard for days as most of the roof drained to the lawn via downspouts or popups. Water would collect at the front of our house because the front yard and driveway sloped down to the house. The builder used flimsy corrugated plastic tubes for underground connections to pop ups on the lawn. (One of flimsy tubes was blocked with debris.) Drain Designs did an excellent job connecting new commercial grade 4 inch PVC pipes to all downspouts plus installed two surface drains to collect water at the house front. The three-team crew (Rob, Dalton and Jonny) were courteous, skilled and hard working. They hand dug trenches next to the foundation against our home, carefully removing any plants which they watered and set aside. The PVC pipes were placed and securely connected with screws. All of the roof’s rain was directed through the underground PVCs to the woods behind our house. Downspout cleanouts for flushing were placed. The plants were replanted so carefully that neighbors could not tell that the work had been done. In the following week we had two intense downpours during which the new system worked flawlessly. No water pooled at the front of the house or in our yard. We highly recommend Drain Designs. BTW, their guarantee is a lifetime…not my lifetime but the home’s because it’s a Transferable Lifetime Warranty."

"Let me first say that I am extraordinarily picky and a bit OCD. Bill Matheson headed this team with Louis and Samuel doing the day-to-day work. I have Nest cameras in the front and back of my house so I was able to watch these guys as they worked. What I noticed is that they took great care with this project, and were as precise as I would have been if I had been building it. And Louis is an artist. There were times when they would lay a small pattern but he would take it up and re-do it because it was better the second time. 'Care' is the word that characterized this project from start to finish. The back gate that they had to take off previously was hard to close since the hinge had sagged over the years. When they put the door back on they fixed that as well, at no additional charge, and now it latches as smooth as butter. They didn't do that because I asked them to, they did it because they care about the quality of the project and making the client extraordinarily happy, which they have accomplished. Bill had chosen the type of paver he thought I would like and would be consistent with the property, and I went to the stone company to take a look at the stone before finalizing. His recommendation was spot on, and the pavers are just stunning. The two patios they built are very, very pretty and the work is perfect. The pavers, the lines, the angles, the pattern -- I am SO happy with the work these guys did. If you are looking for a company that cares as much about your project as you do, start with Agape. You won't be disappointed."

"Eli took the vision I had in my mind for our backyard and brought it to life. Now we have a parklike yard instead of weeds. He is very hard working and left the premises clean - even the street in front of the house! We have already recommended him to several neighbors."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Dunn, NC

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
