"Mike is the best! I contacted Easy at the start of heat wave (like everyone else :) ). They were in contact with me through the 3 day wait while they could get an available tech to check out what was wrong with my AC unit. Mike was not only right on time, but also found the issue and reset the entire system. Making sure everything was in working order before leaving. Thanks Mike! Your the best!"

"This company’s name is appropriately reflected in their competency, integrity, professionalism, and value they provide. My new home’s furnace has been having the same problem for the last two winters, and I have had the builder’s subcontractor, and two other HVAC companies try and fail to resolve condensation issue that prevents the furnace from running. Top-shelf showed up and resolved the issue which turns out to be an installation flaw. Chris took his time explained the issue and the options to repair it."

"I do not mind paying for PROFESSIONAL service and the timely response was great. BUT I do get a little sideways when I TOLD them what the problem was, had everything accessible for a quick in and out repair. I agreed to the $89 dispatch charge (typical) and no problem. That amount was to be refunded into the repair charge? But I did not see it. My 1 item invoice total was $324.14. I knew for a FACT that the electric component to be replaced cost ME anywhere from $13-$50 from China, which exactly like the part that was installed. That is a 900%-1500% increase in cost based on THAT invoice. I trusted these guys would not rip me off, but I feel like they found a sucker. Our A/C works again, we got valuable advise, and a brand new cheap Chinese part replaced. Even when I told the dispatcher what the problem was and asked for a cost to R&R the part, he wouldn't advise, which I thought was odd. Buyer beware. Angi (List) is exactly the scam that the reviewers are talking about. "

"I had an outstanding experience with this Epic Mechanical. From the moment they arrived, their professionalism and expertise were obvious. The technician quickly diagnosed the issue with precision and clearly explained what was happening in a way that was easy to understand. What really impressed me was their proactive approach — they took the time to review the entire system to make sure everything else was operating properly. It was clear they genuinely cared about doing a thorough job, not just fixing the immediate problem. Even better, they took the time and confirmed that the rest of the system looked great, was working properly and didn’t try to upsell or push unnecessary services. Honest, knowledgeable, efficient, and customer-focused — exactly what you hope for in a company. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy HVAC experts."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Eagle, ID

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
