"Went well. Had to return a hot water heater to Home Depot because I purchased a heater for natural gas. I live in the country so I needed a propane hot water heater. I was able to return it to Home Depot and Lee’s brought out the proper one and installed it. $2600"

"I was very pleased with the work. I also had an unrelated leaking hose bib that the tech was able to replace at the same time, for no additional labor cost. Visalia Plumbing will be my plumber of choice for all of my future needs."

"I called Fabian immediately upon finding we had a severe water leak coming from the brick wall of our north basement at the store. the water was gushing out of the wall like Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite and by the time I got into the basement we had 10 inches of water flowing around and through the three separate basements we occupy. The City of Exeter water service crew got the water shut off about the time Fabian arrived and at that point he started assessing the problem, finding there was a burst one inch water main under the concrete stoop behind our neighbor's business. Fabian got out his hammer and jack hammer and got to the problem right away, finding a huge tear in the pipe that sent the water flowing into our basement. Looking at the pipes, Fabian determined that he needed to dig further into the ground, working through concrete and asphalt to uncover more of the pipeline, which dated from 1910. He got to the problem quickly and not only fixed the immediate broken pipe, but went into the rest of the line and fixed sections that were also ready to burst. He put a shut off valve in the system where one was supposed to be and wasn't and then made sure it all took pressure. Once satisfied with that work, he got new concrete and re-poured the slab, then patched the asphalt with new material, tamping it in like new. The job is as professional as it could be and not only did he clean up his mess, but he swept up other debris that was in the area. Nothing but the best comes from Fabian and TEZ Plumbing and you can be sure he will take care of you like he did me. <br />"

"Paul responded within hours of my phone call to give an estimate to replace the plumbing in my attic. After the estimate, he and Ed agreed to start the following day at 9 am. They showed up on the dot and finished the majority of the work that day. I was very happy with their work and would not hesitate to call them in the future for any plumbing need! <br />"

"Everything went just as will said, he showed up at 7:45 EARLY and immediately started digging up the main line. He told me it was going to take about 12 hours total. Around 5:30 that evening the water was back on. He came back the next day and finished filling all the dirt in then put the grass back. He was very professional and pleasant to deal with, I would definitley recommend him to my neighbors and friends. After all was said and done, he gave me the bill and told me I could go online to his website and print the coupon for 10% off the entire bill. Thanks again Will, we appreciate all that you got right to our job and got our water back on! <br />"

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Earlimart, CA

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
