"I regret giving over $80k to this contractor. Jim, Chase and all others did shotty work in my home and now their work needs to be redone by a professional. Even after things stopped working I called them back and no one came out or contacted me to fix it. My window frames and baseboards were installed improperly as well as my electrical. My flooring is lifting and new stairs installed weren’t even nailed in properly, my husband nearly broke his hip on the stairs. I wish I could take it all back and never would’ve trust them."

"John is a true professional and expert in his field. I spent 3 hours on the phone with him discussing my roof and the different options from metal roofs to asphalt singles, but perhaps most importantly was his detailed evaluation of the venting. My house is a modular house that was essentially 2 halfs bolted together. Because of this, there is not a true ridge beam. Thus, a ridge vent would not properly ventilate the attic as there is not enough opening to be covered by the standard ridge vents. Instead, an attic fan was required to remove the moisture and heat from the attic. While John was not the cheapest, he was nowhere near the most expensive. So what made me choose him was a comfort level that I had that he would do the right thing and did not try and sell me on expensive synthetic underlayments, that in reality were not needed. At the end of the day, John was able to completely tear off and replace my 30x60 foot ranch house in one day. And then completed the 24x24 attached garage the next day. Everything was taken away and the place left better then when they came. I would highly recommend J.M. Shinn roofing."

"Poor installation quality, lack of follow up for warranty coverage. They sub out to local contracts with apparently no quality controls. Gunner put on a new roof, new siding, new front doors, and new gutters. Not one of those was done to complete satisfaction. They covered my dryer vent with Hardie board which could have caused a fire if I didn't smell the burning smell while I was doing laundry. My front 2 doors came in the wrong size after 8 weeks and they had to reorder which took another 8 weeks. Finally, the doors were installed improperly: surrounding trim too short, covered a gap under the step with flashing, and didn't align the doors properly. The flat roof part had to be redone 3 times and it still wasn't properly installed. The property manager at the time, who has since left, was very nice and gave me $1500 credit. I had 2 other roofers out since to look at the problem and both said the flashing was installed improperly and they have to pull off boards etc and this will co"

"Mr. Kozlansky was a pleasure to work with, scheduling was very easy and prompt, and the cleaning was thorough. He explained what he was doing and ho to reduce creosote buildup. Mr. Kozlansky also put down drop cloth to keep the carpet clean. Very happy with Complete Chimney service, have had them do the annual cleaning several times."

"After a number of years of using this company for various chimney needs on two 100 year old fireplaces we are done. Their prices are very high and advice has spotty resulting in redo’s (at our expense) on numerous occasions, still, we hung in there. THEN the latest issue was a faulty damper that they had installed a few years ago. Constant problems ensued, requiring multiple service calls every year. The latest came two days after the last $800, chimney cleaning when the damper once again stuck then finally opened only half way. I asked for a final resolution as this could not continue. The response by the owner Mr. Beckthorn, was condescending , accusatory, rude and insulting, as if he was talking to a petulant child. He further informed me that if MY attitude didn't improve he was going to tell us to find another contractor. His final comment “if you have a real solution then propose it, otherwise, let me work”. I did .. and fired him - I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY."
