"We have lived in our home for almost 30 years. The last few winters I have noticed that it was colder, more drafty in the house especially around the window and attic door frames. I saw a commercial on TV from USA Insulation of Buffalo this fall and it spoke to me about everything that I wanted to address in our home and how “They” could be the company to do the work. My husband and I were not disappointed at all from beginning to the end. We started with a phone call to a very pleasant- knowledgeable receptionist who set us up with a very pleasant- professional- knowledgeable Sales Rep. His presentation was so thorough and well done that we committed to a “Job” that evening. We were totally impressed with the product- the quality and value of price. Our install date was this past Friday, 12/3/21. The install “crew” arrived promptly at 9am and went over everything that they would be doing. Again- “Top Notch”, knowledgeable, friendly and professional individuals. Their cleanup was impeccable, you would never know that anyone had been there. We have already noticed a big difference in these first few days, especially after “the High Winds” of Monday, 12/6/21. The house is quieter from outside noise and the drafts from the attic door and window frames have disappeared. Thank you USA Insulation of Buffalo for a job well done! From your Commercial- to your Office- Sales and Installation professionals this is a highly reputable company to work with and be proud of. We will be talking about our experience to our family, friends and coworkers. Keep up the good work- your doing all the right things!!"

"They did a whole rebuild in one day , I had 4to 7ft of blow foam On each wall and ceiling of my attic they tore it out and put a whole New roof plus ventilation in a day! I was so impressed they were kind they even patched where my roof was leaking since my apt was a week or so out. I worked with Micheal Benaquist who was absolutely phenomenal. He made me feel safe and secure and was knowledgeable on any questions I asked. From financial options to helping me understand the roofing materials. I would recommend them to anyone. They are worth the extra few bucks!!! "

"We bought an old one story block building. The ceiling was reinforced with steel beams creating a bunch of separate spaces. USA Insulation had the product and expertise to handle the job. Buffalo, New York is famous for difficult winters but this summer was crazy hot. Temperatures in the high 80's and some 90 degree days as well. Our building was completely comfortable setting the A/C thermostat at 74°. I'm confident that we will not worry about high heat bills and cold drafts this winter. You can trust these people to do the job right. I'm glad I called them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend USA to others. "

FAQs for batt, rolled or reflective insulation install or upgrade projects in East Amherst, NY

Batt insulation excels in vertical installations because it remains firmly in place and delivers consistent thermal performance. Blown-in insulation performs exceptionally in spaces such as attics, efficiently filling gaps in irregular areas.

Employing both insulation types according to their strengths enhances your home’s overall energy efficiency and comfort by providing a tailored solution for every space.

Start by measuring the square footage of the space, then match that area with the insulation thickness you need to hit your target R-value. Add a buffer for waste and odd-shaped spots so every cavity is covered.

Once you have a rough count, run it past a local insulation pro—their on-site advice will fine-tune the numbers and help you avoid costly miscalculations.

Old insulation that is dry, intact, and mold-free does not require removal before adding new insulation; stacking new insulation over it maintains effective thermal performance and boosts energy efficiency.

If the insulation is damp, moldy, or deteriorated, removal is necessary to eliminate health risks and ensure maximum effectiveness of the new layer. A professional insulation contractor will assess your situation and recommend the most effective solution.

Installing insulation in an average-sized home using batts or boards requires five to 12 hours. Using spray foam or blown-in insulation requires two to five hours. These timeframes are determined by the area’s size, accessibility, and whether old insulation must be removed.

Complex projects and hard-to-reach spaces demand extra time. Hiring an experienced insulation professional ensures that the installation is completed efficiently and correctly.

Insulation is measured by R-value, which defines how effectively it resists heat flow. A higher R-value provides superior thermal resistance, ensuring your home remains warm in winter and cool in summer.

Choosing the correct R-value is essential for maximizing energy efficiency and comfort, and it directly impacts long-term utility savings. Professional guidance determines the optimal R-value for your specific climate.
