"Oh my! He did beautiful work for us! Very talented, skilled craftsman. Creative design ideas for all of my flooring and decking. Works hard, fast, and is very reliable. He was here when he said he would be. Even the pizza guy mentioned how gorgeous it all looks."

"First off, let me state that Robert and the Sparks Crew had an hour travel time to my home where the work was to be done. Robert started out by being on time for the estimate (I am a stickler for contractors showing up on time and on the day they are supposed to do work) and was always working on the chosen days. <br /> We had a bathroom put into vacation house family room. No small task since all the utilities were on the other side of the house. Robert supplied a detailed estimate, and a explanation of the work to be performed. We had some questions on cost for certain items and Robert explained things very well and worked with us on different options to save money. <br /> The crew came and went over the time that the work was performed. They cleaned up after their work and respected our wishes as to locking up, lights on and off etc. <br /> The sparks attention to detail was fantastic. Concrete work had to be matched, carpet pulled up and put back, doors painted to match, all the little things that seperate a contractor from a professional contractor. Sparks finish work was spot on, they cleaned up after the job was done and didn't bat an eye at the few requests we had on our punch list. Simply put: Sparks was a fantastic contractor with a crew that really cares about their work. I will be using them for a deck this year and an entire remodel in the following year or two. <br /> <br />"

Painters, who was in the midst of a extensive exterior paint job. The house is a classic box-style with some beautiful exterior wood details which we wanted to preserve and highlight. Tim worked well with our painter to get an old house ready for the final exterior painting work. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and on time with a very few changes of schedule. Because of the success of that work, and because of the competence and enthusiasm Tim brought to the project (small as it was), I then hired him to work with to me design and rebuild the original entry, to more closely match the original details of the house. That project turned out really well, too, and it then made perfect sense to hire Tim to work on a re-design of the outdoor and garden lighting. Working together, we came up with a unique solution to the challenge of providing outdoor security lighting which also is aesthetically pleasing, and highlights our developing side garden. Tim was trustworthy, good-natured and easy to work with. Drawing on a wide breadth of knowledge, Tim was able to come up with creative, cost effective solutions that I had not considered. In short, he offered options that saved money. Tim’s willingness and skill at developing a realistic budget at the very early stages of the project development - sort of a bare minimum needed to get us there - was very reassuring and freeing, as it later allowed us to feel comfortable about adding some upgrades in the finishing stage. Another benefit of working with Tim is that he can do both the design and construction work. He draws on many years of work in architecture and construction. Tim is a good communicator, who listened to our needs and ideas and carefully discussed with us all of our concerns. The focus was on helping us cratively and cost-effectively define the goals and put together a plan to accomplish the project. Tim brings to a project a wealth of knowledge, which he told us he acquired through over 30 years of experience in the northwest, especially work on older homes with all their eccentricities. Tim takes great delight in problem solving design and construction challenges on older homes. In his work, Tim was thoughtful and conscientious, and brought a mix of humor and serious problem-solving skills to the project. He interacted well with the children of the household, too. It was overall the kind of experience that leaves clients satisfied and pleased with the results."

"The house sold in one day and we got tons of compliments about its appearance and upkeep. I believe Jose's work had a lot to do with that outcome. He was great to work with, very punctual and reliable. He was also careful and considerate in his work. In particular, the exterior of the house was very difficult to paint because it was winter and the weather was too cold for painting. Jose kept a close watch on the weather for when it would improve, and communicated with us the whole time, giving us different options if the weather did not improve. I felt confident he was on top of it. <br />"

"Trickett Woodworks built us an awesome built-in bookcase and cabinets for our living room which are good quality and made the room much nicer and more functional. Trickett was really responsive to all my questions via phone calls and emails, and we actually got lucky with scheduling and had the project installed a couple weeks earlier than expected. I would definitely hire them again for any other carpentry/furniture projects."

"The completed addition looks like it was part of the original building.  In addition, the quality of the building is substantially superior to that of the original construction - which had already been assessed by an independent expert as "very well-built."  The crew were professional and helpful, extremely hard-working.  As we became more familiar with them, it became obvious that they were craftsmen - not just builders.  They arrived early to work, worked hard all day and stayed late at night.  They were respectful of our property, taking pains to not adversely impact our existing structure or our landscape.  They made excellent suggestions that improved the quality of the architecture and the design.  They obviously had a lot of experience.  We felt comfortable having them on our property and around our belongings.  It is nice to have people present that are trustworthy.  As with any project of this scope, issues arose.  For example, the incoming water line was not where expected and it had to be relocated.  In each case of issue, workable solutions were proposed, priced out (if necessary), agreed upon and implemented.  Overall, the work site was kept tidy during the process.  Once complete, the area was left completely clean and free of debris.  I am <strong><em>very</em></strong> happy with the resulting structure."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Wenatchee, WA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
