"Roots from a large tree had damaged a brick wall, a concrete pad, and the corner of a hangar. Pete surveyed the project and provided counsel on how to proceed. We chose to reconfigure the wall and save the tree. Pete's part of the project was to replace the brick wall. The wall is beautiful - better and stronger than the original. Pete is a consummate craftsman with a driving work ethic. We are happy to know him."

"There was a 2-3 week delay in getting the windows for the enclosed patio but no fault of Porch Masters. <br /> In fact they got us a $500 reduction for the delay. Last June I called for some small additional work on the porch & they responded immediately. It should be noted that they provided many references prior to the job. I called on 3 who were all very happy with their work. My wife & I are very happy with the total experience & are glad to give this excellent review."

"I noticed a crack that started in my living room and continued into one of the bedrooms. The bedroom floor was sinking away from the wall. I did research and found Poly Lift USA. I contacted the office and spoke with the receptionist. She was very polite and was able to answer a few questions I had. She scheduled me for an estimate that very week. The manager came out and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time and answered all of the questions I had. I received the estimate later that day via email and was able to accept it on the spot. The next day, I received a call from their office to schedule my project the following week as well as an email reminder. Their crew arrived on time and started to work almost immediately. They explained the process as they worked and allowed us to watch. They drilled small holes throughout the home and then injected the polyurethane. Once they were done, they filled the holes with a sanded concrete and cleaned up the minimal mess that was made. It was done in less than a day. I would highly recommend PolyLift USA to anyone that is need of this repair. They did an amazing job! Thank you Poly Lift!"

"Griff came out and went over the details of the job with me. He measured square footage, checked the slope of the land, explained the process, including explaining the moisture shield and wire reinforcement. He asked how and where I wanted the equipment trucks and cement truck to go. He made sure I knew exactly what to expect. He and his crew arrived on time each day. They came out after the cement had hardened and cleaned up everything perfectly. He asked if I had someplace I wanted them to put the little pieces of concrete or if I wanted him to take the concrete. I have a runoff ravine and he purposefully placed them where they would do the most good. They raked the dirt neatly around the slab and put the grass plugs in the dirt. The grass is already being established. I highly recommend Griff's Concrete. In fact we are hiring him again to put in front sidewalks and a little patio. You might find somebody who says they will do it cheaper but it won't be better. <br />"

"So I found these guys on Angies list to start off with. They only had one review but when I called him he answered straight away and told me he would swing by and look at it the same day. I called him around 3pm on a Thursday afternoon and he told me he would be by around 5pm to take a look at what I wanted. He ended up running a little late that day so he called me and told me he would be about an hour late because he was finishing up a job. I loved the fact that he called and told me so as to not leave me hanging. <br /> He comes by and I describe what we need which was basically a 15x31 rectangle slab 2' in width to rest our pool on. We discussed all the particulars and he gave me a ball park figure right there. He told me he would go home and do the exact figure for me and then would call me back tomorrow with the figure. As promised he called the next day with the price and said he would come start on it Saturday if we liked. We pulled the trigger. <br /> Once again as promised he arrives Saturday to lay the form and prep the area for what we needed. He had all the tools and equipment ready and immediately got to work on the forms. They worked for about 4 hours and then broke for the day. He said they would come back Monday morning and get it finished for us. Monday morning they came in and finished the job completely, left the forms for the concrete to dry then came in the following day to remove the forms. <br /> This Gentleman was awesome! He was very professional, kind, honest and straight up! We had no problems with him whatsoever and was very pleased with his work. He was prompt on time and had great communication. He even went the extra mile and used his tractor to put dirt back into where we need it for the pool. He is the owner of the company and told me he has been doing concrete for 20 years now. If you Google Anything Concrete they actually have a really nice site in which he told me that he has never been to. His wife handles all that he said. Anyway long story short I am glad I found this guy and Angies list definitely found him for me. So thank you! <br /> I would recommend this guy any time for anything you need done. He does an array of things from concrete to brick paving to apparently framing and other things. We are actually currently speaking to him about an addition we need created for our home and getting a price on that. If we end up using him for the addition I will write and additional review on that. <br />"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Eastanollee, GA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
