"Adam is fantastic to work with, very professional and responsive. He is upfront as far as cost, time line, and repairs that are necessary. The plumbing and drywall work that was done looks very professional and it was nice to have one company with so much knowledge of multiple trades. If there are multiple people working, you will have to pay for both at the hourly rate... This is standard across every industry for Time and Materials work. Having more people will cut down on the time to complete the job, but it is the same man-hours so you are not paying more money for the same amount of work. I will certainly be bringing Neatnics back for more work and would recommend him to others."

"Josh and his team did a great job remediating the ceiling/wall area that had the mold. They were very professional in ensuring the safety of the work area during the remediation process. They also did a great job in blending the drywall repair into the existing ceiling and wall. ceiling and wall"

"I had purchased a deal to have them do an inspection. Steve and I discussed areas of concern for me and he provided an estimate for work. We scheduled and the crew came on the agreed day. The reason for the B on professionalism is because the day was a snowy day. Some of the workers came in and walked onto my carpeted stairs in their wet boots. They did put down coverings after I commented, but did not have enough to cover the entire area. I needed to add some large towels to protect my flooring. They did clean the area in the kitchen and back stairs when they completed. Except for the one glitch at the start, the workers were courteous and completed the work as expected.  They tried to insulate an area in my kitchen that was difficult and did what they could.  All in all I found them to be satisfactory and I can see a difference in the temperature of the areas they insulated. <br />"

"It was a good experience. It was educational--he was patient about explaining the process. He left the equipment in the basement and picked it up two days later. We got a report of radon levels several hours later via email. This service was one of Angie's List Big Deals. Our house "passed" the test and we didn't have any other work done."

"David got the radon testing equipment to the property two days in advance so I could get results on the day of the inspection. He was incredibly thorough and took the time to explain all of his findings to me along with suggestions for bringing things up to code/correcting problems. He also let me know what findings were problematic versus common. He has an easy manner and was receptive to my questions. He found high radon levels, carpenter bees and several safety/health issues with the house. While we only used a few of these for further negotiations, it give me peace of mind to know we can fix the remainder of the problems ourselves because we know about them. I would use him again and refer him to my friends and family."

"I talked to Greg about my concerns about the mold in our basement.  It was a very small amount of mold and he told me how to handle it.  I was very impressed by how much Greg was able to help me over the phone.  He took the time to listen to my questions and give me honest answers.  It became clear early in our conversation that I didn't need to use his services but he talked to me and answered my questions anyway.  Greg was very kind and helpful.  He was very knowledgeable about how to handle mold and if I ever find I have an extensive mold problem I would definitely call him and have him take care of it. <br />"

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Eastlake, OH

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
