"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"It went great. A man measured the windows to be replaced and gave us a price. We went with them and on the scheduled they a crew of three arrived on time and had the old windows removed and the new window totally installed in a 3 to 4 hours. They did a good clean up too."

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

"Nick came and gave me an estimate on a Tuesday and took the trees down the next day. This was part 1 of 2. He will be installing a fence, removing a concrete patio area and fixing the really ugly flower beds. He has been very helpful through this whole process. Because of his prompt service I have hired him to do some tree work at my rental property."

"<em>Please do not let the address of Conservatory Craftsmen deter you.  They work all around the country and have many customers on the East coast and Northeast.</em> <br /> We were horrified at what Hurricane Sandy did to our 1892 home in the fall of 2012.  After months of negotiation with our insurance company, we were able to settle on a greenhouse replacement.  The insurance company did not want to cover the full cost of the replacement because, understandably, a greenhouse is an unusual product and most had little experience with an attached greenhouse made to go with a restored Victorian home. <br /> Here's how it will probably go for you if you don't have an architect or designer working for you:  You will find 'kits' that look ok but cost tens of thousands of dollars.  The contractors who install these are generally skilled local guys who may or may not have worked together.  If there is a problem it will be up to the homeowner or the GC or architect to negotiate over any issues that arise. because there are many disparate parties involved. <br /> On the other end of the spectrum are the high end products, of which CC is one.  These are all custom products with knowledgable and dedicated business people at the helm.  The cost will reflect this. <br /> The difference is that Conservatory Craftsmen never relegated us to a brochure; took the time and energy over months to explain who their product (made in England) was different than many others, to justify the high cost, and to educate us about the different technical aspects of owning, building and caring for a greenhouse. <br /> It was this passion and care that Jim demonstrated that convinced us; once we knew we were going high end, we knew Jim and his company was the right choice. Jim travels with a team that lives together away from home during weeks when they are servicing and building greenhouses and solariums; they know each other, spend time together, understand Jim's product completely. I will never have to talk to anyone else (except my electrician and the mason who will repair the stucco walls) about this product. <br /> Our greenhouse was particularly large and we were committed to the footprint because of the epay floor and stucco walls.  It measures about 24' by 14' and cost in the area of $80 with very few extras. <br /> The windows themselves are a work of art:  while locked you can adjust them to allow air flow,  the door screen (our only extra) magically appears when we want it to.  The upper windows wind open easily with a removable 'opener' (I am sure there is a word for this; it fits intot he upper window and screws the vents open and closed)   <br /> Jim was the most patient man ever.  He explained his product, got to know us, respected our time and privacy and was a complete pleasure.  He loves his greenhouses, his family helps run this business professionally, and he is without doubt the pied piper of greenhouses.  See his website and you'll see some beautiful examples that ourshine our simple version.  We recommend Jim and CC unequivocally! <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Eden Valley, MN

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
