"The service person, Valod, took photos of the three pieces, then gave me the total price for cleaning all of them as $645, including a $50 "service charge," but no tax. I agreed to that. He also explained the cleaning wouldn't remove a large, dark discolored section of the one-piece sofa cushion, and the same went for an attached side cushion and part of an armrest. But he said he could dye those areas to match the rest of the leather. That was extra, so I asked for an estimate, and after punching in the numbers on his smart phone, he turned it toward me and showed me a number over $1,000. I declined, and asked him to do the best he could cleaning the pieces. About 15 or 20 minutes later, he said he could do the dyeing for about $345. That dramatic reduction startled me, but I also declined the offer. After the cleaning, the three pieces looked better than before, and the leather felt softer, but the improvement wasn't dramatic. Macy's provided a cleaning kit when I bought the leather furniture, but I never tried it. I may do so now."
