The work isn't cheap--each one cost me what I would have paid for a new chair, albeit of lesser quality. But getting these two workhorses back in the line-up was worth the price."

"<em> My husband and I were looking for an upholstery business in order to have an old love seat and chair reupholstered. After visiting several businesses, we settled on Ro-Art Upholstery and Interiors, Inc. It was a joy to walk into their establishment. It had an immaculate showroom with many, many sample books all neatly arranged by material, etc. This was unlike the several businesses that we had visited earlier that were dirty and unkept. Another reason we decided to choose Ro-Art is that the owners, Rosemarie and Arthur, are such nice, unassuming people who are very interested in pleasing the customers that pass through their doors. They took much time and effort to help us look for the material having the colors we wanted to use in the and quot;newand quot; room. It turns out that we ended up finding a pattern online that I liked even more because it had just the colors we wanted to use. That wasn't a problem for Arthur and Rosemarie. They gladly ordered a sample of it for us so we could check it out. Within a week, we had the sample which was exactly what we were looking for. Arthur came to our home to work up a price for reupholstering the love seat and chair. We also got a price for matching pillows and swag curtains. Within a week, Arthur came to pick up the chairs and several weeks later they were finished and delivered. The workmanship is </em> <em>quality all the way! The and quot;matchingand quot; of the plaid material on the love seat was perfect. Arthur even put up the curtain rod and hung the curtains (which were fully lined) for us. At first, I thought I would get used to the way the swags were finished at the bottom, but as the week went on I wasn't sure. I called Arthur and told him how I felt and how I thought I'd like the swags to be finished at the bottom. As always, Arthur being a gentleman and also a businessman who wants to make his customers happy, agreed to rework the bottom of the swags. We had expected to have to pay a fee, but Arthur did it at no cost. I cannot say enough about this business. Both Rosemarie and Arthur are truly good people. They stay in contact with their customers throughout the process and seem to truly enjoy what they do. Anyone who uses this business will not be disappointed.</em> <br />"

"Tim showed up at the agreed time said he could fix it and he did. My loveseat spring let go. It was cliped front to back and sliped out of the clip. Tim took the legs off and the cover stretched the spring and put everything back better than it was. What a fantastic job even took the bottom off the matching loveseat and clipped the springs together so it won't happen again. So happy that I got a decent person to help me with this problem. I would recommend him to anyone needing help with a furniture problem. <br />"

"Dress was ready in one week, as promised, during prom season.  Roanne was great to work with, and I even called several times to change the bottom of the dress (train) and for advice.  We had the dress made and shipped, and the corset boning was missing, and the rhinestone design was not exact.  Roanne was so helpful in advising us on adding rhinestones ourselves, to save on the cost, and where to get them and what type and how to do it.  I will definitely come to her for any future alteration needs. <br />"

"Dana only called us one time to notify us about the crack in one of the legs of one of our chairs. We approved the repair. Then we waited two weeks for an update which never occurred. My wife called him to ask him if the fabric had arrived and how the work was progressing. He advised my wife that the work was underway. I called him one week later to find out when our chairs would be completed. Dana who was very friendly during the initial sales visit, was curt during our brief telephone conversation. <br /> On the 27th day (June 9th, 2014), he called my wife from his vehicle at 6:34pm that he was and quot;just pulling out of Barrington, RI, to deliver our chairs. During our telecom, he advised me that he could deliver the chairs during the weekend, June 7th or June 8th. or alternatively on Monday or Tuesday, June 9th or June 10, 2014. When he delivered the upholstered chairs and seat pads, Dana was very uncommunicative and was unfriendly, unlike his behavior during his first visit. I asked him about the 5% Senior discount and he replied, and quot;I'm a seniorand quot; which I considered an inappropriate and sarcastic reply. The 5% is certainly not a deal breaker, but if he advertises a 5% discount on Angie's List, he should honor it. I notified Angie's list to remove the 5% discount because Dana Welshman does not honor it. When I elected to pay him with our Visa card, he did not have his merchant banking device to process my credit card. In fact, he didn't even have a pen to write down the details of my CC. My wife and I were surprised and chagrined about Mr. Welshman's behavior and his lack of interest in communicating with us during the work period. After I provided him with my credit card details, he failed to provide us with a detailed receipt for the work and repair. His behavior during the delivery of our chairs was strange. I would not recommend him to anyone because of his lack of business professionalism. <br />"

"Very well. I had looked extensively on line for fabric and could not find what I was really looking for. Carla Davis is the owner. She has a very significant selection of fabrics to choose from. I found what I was looking for in her inventory. The work was very high quality and it was done in a very timely manner. The pricing was fair. By that I mean that for the quality and professionalism, Carla charges a reasonable price. <br />"
