"Original fiberglass door& frame installed 2006. Wood in bottom of thershold had rotted affecting door seal. Purchased new door frame from Jeld-Wen. Weather forecast to be sunny but was overcast and cloudy with threat of rain. Trip arrived on time, 11:00 AM, and started to work. Removed door trim and found that the original door fame was PVC coated and in good condition. Trip removed damaged threshold, reinstalled door trim and new threshold, caulked with latex sealant and repainted the door frame. Sun came about for about 2 hours during the work but by the time the work was completed rain was forecast. Rained that evening and next morning I noticed that some of the sealant/paint had washed away. Called Trip and he returned my call. Several days go by and after not hearing anything, I purchased silicone sealnt and resealed the threshold. Contacted Trip by phone and email and let him know that he did not need to come by and I would repaint door on a sunny day.  <br /> <br /> Hindsight considered, mistakes were made. The work should not have started at 11:00 AM considering the weather. I should have asked Trip to wait until the weather was sunny. <br /> <br /> For what it's I do recommend written estimates from more than one contractor."
