"Barry was amazing. You can't tell a large, oddly shaped portion of my living room carpet was replaced. I didn't have enough remnanat, so he took carpet from a closet to do the job. I purchased some carept from Lowes, which was very close to my own carpet, so Barry used that in the closet. He stayed late to finish the job, was thorough, cleaned up, and did wonderful workmanship. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

"Robert was very helpful to me in choosing the appropriate carpet for our home, and Bobby, the installer, did a beautiful job! Robert always responded to any questions and checked in during the install. Bobby paid attention to detail and it shows! I like that he took the time to measure carefully and ensured that both the carpet and the baseboard were installed flawlessly. Bobby and his assistant were very careful moving our furniture and placed it all back after the install. Our home looks so much better now!"

"i was so happy they were still here when we needed them 14 years later. Marty Dixon did the exact measure from before and his crew were exceptional! 3eAll the carpet was installed, regardless of the firestorm! the Cocos fire was a threat with the winds and ash, but all went well! "Alan Hunter assisted me in selecting new carpet for my living room. He knew his inventory well and took the time to show me the different options available in terms of pattern, color, etc. I told him the basic style of my home and he pulled samples for me that were consistent with that theme. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I couldn't have asked for more In terms of customer service. <br /> Alan came to my home and measured for the carpet. The installers were right on time and did a great job on the installation, fast and professional. I love the new carpet, and the whole process of picking it out and having it installed went very smoothly. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing new carpeting or flooring. It is a family owned business, and working directly with the owners makes a huge difference in the quality of service you receive. One of the best I've ever worked with. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in El Cajon, CA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
