We had a water line break in our house with major damage. After a company did the remediation, we hired a contractor recommended by our insurance company. After 3 months of promises never kept, they pulled out. A second contractor did the same. I hired Overhead Construction to do a project on the exterior of our house unrelated to our water damage. "After Hurricane Helene the pressed board siding around our fireplace chimney was in bad shape. Adding to that was the fact the roofers who replaced our roof afterwards did not install proper flashing on our garage (which contacts the chimney) and it exacerbated the situation. Pressed board was peeling away from the structure, warped, and expanded from water intrusion and a number of areas. We wanted to replace the entire exterior of the chimney with Hardie Board and have any of the water damaged under layers replaced with OSB and have the entire structure wrapped. We received a number of competitive estimates, but the estimate from Umbrella was by far the lowest and included more work than the others.
