"The job took two days. The crew arrived on time both days. We are happy with the work. We're having an audit of the work done by Neighborhood Energy Connection to understand how much of the walls were filled. If NEC finds significant voids, Thermal Boundaries said they will return to fill them. We already notice a lessened temperature difference between the first and second floors of our house! Update on December 15, 2010: We're still happy with Thermal Boundaries' work. Since more has transpired about our project, I want to include an update. Upon the suggestion of a non-profit that helps homeowners improve the energy efficiency of homes, we had an audit of Thermal Boundaries' work perform with a portable infrared camera and a blower door. (About $150 to do this.) The audit found places that were missing insulation, which can happen because of obstructions in wall cavities or other assumptions about wall construction that don't apply for a particular house. (The auditor said the wall space totalled about 25 sq ft, which is above what they would allow for some private and public energy efficiency programs.) So, I contacted Thermal Boundaries to schedule a return visit. They showed up today as scheduled, took a look at the audit information, and then filled the areas at no additional cost, as had been discussed when we hired them. Having them stand by their word adds to my satisfaction with their work and makes me increasingly likely to recommend them. Thanks again Thermal Boundaries!"

"Scott did an amazing job on our fence repair. Our wooden fence had some rotting posts and the fence was falling in as a result. Scott took out the rotting posts and replaced them with new ones. He cut the old posts into pieces so they would be ready to put out for trash pick-up. We had ropes holding up the fence, and he and his team removed those as part of the job. He is very service-oriented and did very high quality work!"

"The project went very well. They said they would get the project done in 2 weeks and they delivered on that even with a delay due to the cold weather. They worked over a weekend to ensure the date was hit. The time was important to us as it affected every room in the house. They were very respectful and took good care of our house keeping it clean. They were easy to work with, very professional, and it was made very clear along the way about what change orders were needed and why as some things came up with working on an old house. They were very responsive to our requests and dealing with issues that needed to be fixed. Our bathroom looks amazing and we just couldn't be happier. "Overall my experience was positive. Tod is very professional and was by far the more responsive contractor we met with. His proposal was clear and included a calendar/timeline although the project didn't always line up to this timeline. Our remodel started on the date Tod indicated but went longer then the three week timeframe outlined due to a couple fixes that needed to take place. Had these been unnecessary the project would have finished right on time. The Supervisor Steve was in one word AWESOME. If we could have Steve complete the whole project, I'd rank this an A+. Unfortunately, he was pulled for other projects TG Petersen was working on (no different then any other construction firm) TGP finished a 1500 sq ft basement including new ceilings, can lighting, custom lighting over pool table, new wall and double doors for bedroom and egress window. I elected to do the painting, which Tod was more than flexible with which was great. <br />"
