"Gregg Poindexter and Dan Supar were incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and helped me navigate my basement waterproofing issues. They took their time and made sure everything was inspected fully. And even went above and beyond. Very happy with their service!"

"This was during a very busy time after the flooding and it took a long time for the city to allow the project to start. Once it started, everything went quickly. The work was done correctly and passed all city testing right away. Jay was very professional, easy to work with, and knowledgeable about the specific project as well as related excavation work. I will definitely hire him again for more work on the property. <br /> <br />"

"Trinity was very prompt and efficient in getting this complicated project quickly done over a period of 6 days (due to rain). I was especially impressed with all the meticulous finishing work all the workers did on the staircase and sidewalk and the nice cleanup of our yard at the end. The project required two loads of concrete and six guys on the day the stairs were poured-- a very long staircase on a very hot day! Jeff came frequently during the project to check on the progress. The guys who did the work were very hardworking and polite and stopped to discuss the project with me whenever I had a question. I was a little concerned at the beginning, as the plan was kind of loose as far as the design--at first we were told the one landing would extend beyond the width of the stairs (they ended up not extending out, and on the day of the framing, they recommended two landings), and although we wanted to plan the landscaping with the company before the stairs were put in, that didn't happen (they have a landscape designer on staff).  Once the work began, I realized how skilled and experienced the company is in designing an attractive staircase that fits perfectly on our very steep hill, the need to be flexible and rely on their expertise, and I also realized that the landscaping will be much easier to figure out now that the stairs and sidewalk are in place. Now we have the nicest staircase in our hilly neighborhood! <br />"

"<hr /> Our home in Spooner Wisconsin had very high radon readings so I called DBS Solutions. Ron came out to meet with us. We also had some water issues in the basement that Ron was able to address, so we decided to have both problems fixed at the same time. We had some unusual requests in the placement of the pipes and fan for the radon. Ron was able to think outside of the box to make this happen. The job had some challenges. (weather, placement of components, crazy amount of rocks around the foundation) Ron and his crew were always cheerful and competent, very hard working. After completion, we were unhappy with how loud the radon fan was. Ron and Brandon headed back out and retooled the fan to make it much quieter. We are very happy with the work. No water in the basement, radon went from 28 to 1, outside and inside foundation looks great. I'd like to give a special thank you to Brandon. He worked the job from start to finish and did a great job."

"I was very impressed with the speed of which everything was done. It was pouring rain before they started so everything was muddy and there was very little mud tracked into the house. Then it was very hot and they still completed everything on time. There was an unexpected fracture in the corner of our house and they gave us several options and actually recommended the cheaper of the two options. They were very prompt in getting the bid and paperwork back to us. The only complaint I had was that the top soil was full of small rocks which made it hard to grow the grass in areas. Also, they said they would come back and fix a small patch of disturbed soil on our neighbors lawn and they did not come back. However, we never called back to remind them. <br /> Overall, I was VERY impressed by the amount of repair done for the price. We had bids from 2 other places and they were higher and for less work. I would definately recommend them or hire them again. If I could do it again I would have asked more about the quality of the top soil or the cost of a more quality top soil. Also, not a drop of water or condensation in our basement. Even with very hard rains where other peoples basements were flooded. <br />"

"great guy to work with. Friendly, professional. Eagerly addressed any of my concerns and did not make any excuses. I could tell he wanted results he could be proud of, rather than just rushing through so he move on to the next job (like most home improvement companies, in my experience.) His price was reasonable, in fact I felt like I should have paid him more considering how much effort he put into the job."

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Embarrass, MN

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
