"We are very happy with the work. Arthur was trustworthy and cared a lot about the quality of the work, ensuring that his own workers and the subcontractors completed things properly. We were able to talk openly about costs whenever changes were necessary, and we finished the project on budget. We enjoyed working with him and his crew, and we felt comfortable having his workers as part of our household for the seven months it took to complete the project. Most of his subcontractors were equally conscientious and helpful (there was one exception, and Arthur addressed it quickly when we brought it up). The project would have benefited from better time management and more coordination between the subs, and we had to be persistent about defining the schedule and ensuring that things moved as quickly as possible. "Sal amazed us. Hiring contractors is funny business. If you have an older home, you have probably had mixed experiences. Certainly everyone has heard, or experienced, a horror story. We've wanted to finish our attic and make an office for quite a while, and had a few false starts. I went to Angi's, quite honestly, out of desperation. Entered a description of work needed - didn't need to join - GREAT INTERFACE ANJI! Sal called me shortly after I posted, came over quickly, was great and understood our needs, so we hired him. Here's where the amazing things started happening. Sal shows up, on time and with the nicest crew. We can immediately tell we are in good hands. I talk to my wife, and we agree to ask Sal about several other issues around the house; rotting deck stairs, mold damage in the foyer from old leak, small plumbing headaches. Sal takes a look, says no problem, and gives us a good number. Now we not only have the attic space of my wife's dreams, but we can go into the holiday with ALL work done (understand we met Sal around Thanksgiving, and he did a lot of work.)
