"We had a patio cover installed with lights and ceiling fans. I am so impressed with the whole process with this company and how they paid attention to every detail! We were considering installing a wood pergola but decided to go this route instead and I’m so glad we did! The patio cover passed our expectations and it looks like it’s part of the house! I am so impressed with how beautiful it all turned out! The installers Joe and Josh, paid attention to every detail and wanted me to be happy with the results. They were so nice and friendly and I always appreciate that. Thanks so much Sunrooms & More!"

"We thought the price was reasonable. He was a master at blending paint on the wall to the ceiling. We had some water damage, before we got our roof. He could blend that paint beautifully. You couldn't even tell where it was. It was really amazing. It was he and his son. He did an excellent job on that. We have nothing negative to say about him. The only thing is we've called him and left messages but he has never called back. I don't know if he is just really busy or what. We were going to have some other things done but he hasn't called back to my knowledge. When he was here he was excellent. He and his son were very very nice, very very courteous. We would definitely use him again."

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"It went great. They did exactly what we wanted done with amazing craftsmanship. We had then convert an old sunroom into a combination mudroom and 4th bedroom. They removed 5 windows and a double door and replaced it with a single exterior door. They also included floor to ceiling cabinets and a granite work station to care for my dog. The sub contractors were very professional, precise, friendly, punctual and cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. The General Contractor made several visits during the remodel to ensure that everything was proceeding correctly and to address any questions or concerns we had. I'd highly recommend B&R Construction for anyone thinking about remodeling."

"<p>I had Sooner came out and give me an estimate on sidings and windows. They were the most reasonably priced with no pressure to sign that day. In fact, I told the salesman I had to sleep on it and would call him the next day.  The next day I called and he drove back to Shawnee to sign the contract. The crew came out about 3 weeks later. Kenny and Brent who did the siding were really good guys. The windows and siding made a huge difference in the appearance of the house. They did such a good job I hired them (Sooner State) to come out and do a 21 foot room extension, update the kitchen and 3 bathrooms. The Project Manager, Danny has been significantly instrumental in design ideas and in keeping the project on time. Plus, he is very easy to work with, addressing any concerns and being available off hours to discuss the invariable questions I have that I didn't think of during the day. After the remodel and addition is done I will be sure to update the overall experience. But so far, all is well and I recommend them highly. </p> <p>Update 1/5/15: </p> <p>Kitchen-</p> <p>Incomplete as of 1-5-15. Cabinets have been redone minus a few minor touchups. Went about 7 weeks without a stove because the cabinets and countertops were not done. They finally put some plywood down and put in the new stove so we could at least cook. The problem wasn't entirely Sooner States fault. The guy they subcontracted the cabinets and countertops to, David Cheatam, caused the 7 week delay (cut his finger and one of his saw's broke) and walked out on the job when it came time to put in the countertops. Have to give credit to Danny Looney on getting an alternate countertop going quickly given the holidays. The new countertops will be granite which surprisingly enough is less expensive than Wilson Art acrylic.</p> <p>Bathrooms-</p> <p>Master bath not done as of 1-5-15. Same problem as kitchen. No countertops. I do think the shower could have been completed a long time ago though.  Still waiting on ceiling of shower to be painted and for a plumber to hook up the new shower. </p> <p>Middle bath not done as of 1-5-15. The only thing left is the new toilet, sink and countertop. I feel the new toilet could have already been put in. </p> <p>Back bathroom: Nothing done at all to it yet. Waiting on one of the others to get done so we are not left without a bathroom. </p> <p>Master Bedroom-</p> <p>Not complete as of 1-5-15. Fireplace not done and it has to be repainted. They have been using it to spray on the stain to the cabinetry...drawers and shelves. It has been built out and looks great otherwise, especially the new tile. </p> <p>Other-</p> <p>Still waiting on installation of new lighting, new trim throughout the house, the new front door, putting the siding and guttering back up and new siding and guttering on the master bedroom, finishing the trim around the two new sets of  sliding glass doors , a new mantle piece about the fireplace, new glass on some of the cabinet doors, and touch up some areas that need to be painted. I am sure there is something I am missing and will list during my next update. </p> <p>Overall Opinion:</p> <p>The good-  I genuinely like Danny and his crew and the work they have done so far has been of good quality.  His vision of the remodel has been spot on with what I imagined. </p> <p>The bad-  The huge pile of trash/construction waste in the back yard and garage.  There has been only one trip to the dump about 7 weeks ago rather than a weekly dump run. Backyard and garage look like crap. </p> <p>The ugly-  There have been many times no one has showed up to do any work during the time we were given excuses by the cabinet guy. I think something could have been done along the way so all that was left WAS to install countertops. </p> <p>I will update at the end of the month as that has been the new date given to me for completion of the remodel. </p> <p>At this point I would still recommend Sooner State. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Update 03/04/15:</p> <p>So much for getting done at the end of January. Danny and his crew did come out today and have it 99% done. The weather has played havoc with the timeliness of wrapping it up but the majority of the blame rests with them. They came out today to clean up and finish some small things like wrapping the outside air condenser line, re-concreting the fence post they had to take down to get into the back yard and sheet rocking the small area in the garage where they had to run some conduit, and a few other things. </p> <p>What's left is to get the fireplace right in the master bedroom. It goes out when the wind blows and to fix the problem of the mantle piece getting to hot. Apparently the distance between the flue and the mantle covey where the T.V sits is not far enough part. A blower and a different end cap where it comes out of the wall outside is supposed to fix this. Oh, and there is a socket cover in the back bathroom that needs to be put on and some weather stripping on the storm door.  I would wager that Danny and Joe re-examine everything to see if there is anything we all missed. </p> <p>I do feel comfortable with going ahead and writing my conclusion so here it goes. </p> <p>First of all, what you will NOT get with Sooner State is the fancy computer generated models of what your remodel will look like when all is said and done like you see on HGTV. </p> <p>What you will get is masterfully done work by Danny Looney and a guarantee by Joe Jordan, the owner, that everything is done to your satisfaction. Danny had pretty much creative control and did a exceptional job. I have a new kitchen, 3 new bathrooms, a 21 foot  bricked master bedroom extension, new master bath (shower is incredible) another redone bedroom, redone living room, a deck off the new master that was courtesy by them for the delay, and new light fixtures throughout the house. I am sure I missed something as it was a major remodel. </p> <p>I would rate Sooner State Home Improvement an A on everything except timeliness. Overall I would say a B since it took so long. However, I think my case was the rare exception given the misadventures of the first countertop guy, the weather, the extent of the remodel, illness, and the crew just not showing up for whatever reason. My only complaint otherwise is the backsplash in the bathrooms behind the sinks. It is to thick or the cut was measured wrong and it makes the stopper handle difficult to get to. Minor inconvenience. </p> <p>I would definitely hire them again even with the seemingly forever timeframe. It looks that good. I love my new old house. Danny made it classy and beautiful. Bravo Zulu. </p> <p>Thanks, </p> <p>Frank</p> <p><br /></p> <p>P.S. They are supposed to come out and take pictures so if you want to see the quality of work performed I am confident they would be happy to share them. </p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p>"

"The company was prompt to come to Enid to give an estimate and schedule the project.  The estimate cost was accurate. The project was started on time.  The installation and  quality of the work was outstanding.  They matched the texturing on the ceiling very well.   The paint did not correctly match the ceiling (fault of the paint store?).  The sun tunnel had a light kit that did not arrive with the sun tunnel.   The company was delayed coming back to repaint and install the light kit.  Perhaps it is because they are a young company, have such an excellent product and do an outstanding installation that they are very busy.  They did repaint the ceiling and install the light kit.   <br /> I am very pleased with the completed project.  I would use Skylights Unlimited again."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Enid, OK

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
