"Our project involved closing up a framed opening in one wall and making framed opening in another wall, plus demolition of some mirrors and patching various areas of drywall in a remodel of a condo on the river in downtown Fort Myers. Throughout the entire project Trace : was a true professional at all times - provided excellent communications - delivered quality workmanship while also making productive use of time on the project - performed when he stated he would - followed up promptly to our calls and/or texts - and he made sure work was completed as promised. Having been in high quality construction for over 40 years, I am not easily impressed. I am proud to give Trace the highest recommendation possible!"

"I highly recommend Greg Luebbe and Total Home Roofing. We loved our neighbor's new roof and inquired with her to find out who did the work. She said Total Home Roofing did two of her three daycare buildings. She said Greg Luebbe was her salesman. Greg came over to the house and was very nice and helpful. He not only gave us a thorough presentation, and a great price, he got up on our steep roof and tarped over the missing shingles to prevent leaking until they could install the roof. The roof was installed exactly one week after he sold us. My husband and I are very pleased with the whole experience!"

"We live in Cape Coral. We experienced the eye of the much-televised slow-moving hurricane Ian. The deviation was widespread. Many houses were washed away. On Ft Myers Beach some owners in addition to losing their home, also had their property washed away. In the middle of this disaster, there were many charlatans from all over the country that came in for the "feeding". We chose CTG as our contractor. Dealing with the insurance was Frustrating. We had 6 different insurance adjusters. Some of our friends got Public "adjusters" to help them get money for their repairs from the insurance companies. Once you sign with a Public Adjustor, you lose control of the process. CTG acted as our Public Adjustor and got more money for the repairs that required it. But they do not charge for that service. Jason Turner told me that is what they do. That is their job. Public Adjusters slow down the prices and charge a percentage of everything you get from your insurance company. Getting supplies to do the work was a nightmare. Home Depot and the other supplies kept running out of supplies. CTG did what had to be done. They would drive with their vehicles where they needed to go to get building supplies. Be it Tampa, Miami, or wherever. The quality of their work was top-notch."

"These walls had subterranean termite damage and had been constructed so lightly that water ingress had occurred during the heavy rains in the Summer of 2013.
Josh and his two employees first removed the vinyl siding on both walls. Then they removed the four aluminium windows,  the damaged vapor barrier, and the damaged portions of the structural wood frame.
They replaced the framing and upgraded  the structure around the windows. They installed new OSB plywood over the entire area of the two walls. Then to waterproof the building, the following was done: 1) a trench was dug all around to 6"below the concrete slab; 2) tar paper was installed all around from  6"" below the slab up to two feet above ground; 3) a Tyvek vapor barrier was installed from 6"" below the slab up to the eave and gable. The windows were reinstalled. Finally the vinyl siding was  reinstalled and upgraded where needed. They also replaced about a dozen cement shingles on the gable wall.
Mr. Roberts came quickly to look at the job after I called to ask for  an estimate. He provided me by e-mail with a detailed itemized estimate within a day or so. Work started within about a week.
I found Mr. Roberts to be very professional, very straightforward, and very honest in all my dealings with him. His two employees also impressed me by their steadinees and dedication. Mr. Roberts was on the job site working along with them for the majority of the three days it took to complete the project, but when he had to go away for  short periods of time they continued steadily and I had the impression from their conversations that they treated the project at my house as if it had been at their own house.
While here, Josh also gave me some tips about some of the maintenance issues unrelated to this project that I have at my house.
In summary, I highly recommend Josh Roberts and his company.

"Start to finish and final inspection the job was done very well.  Sales Representative, office staff, technicians and installers were all professional and courteous.  The technicians installing the windows and doors were very knowledgeable and professional and the project was completed without any delaying incidents.  There was one item on which a call back was required - the local building inspector required that additional fasteners in the door frames be installed in the thickest part of the door frame.  The original fasteners were sufficient but the inspector said that the local preference was to install them as he recommended.  The company was very responsive and within a week had a technician on site to install the additional fasteners.  I was very pleased with the quality of the work and would recommend Florida Lifetime Impact Window & Door Inc to anyone considering having impact windows and doors installed in their home or business."

FAQs for shelter or outbuilding building service projects in Estero, FL

A bomb shelter is an abode built to withstand disaster. Bomb shelters may refer to a space or bunker that can protect inhabitants through a hypothetical nuclear attack, apocalypse, or any other massive crisis. People usually build bomb shelters underground and stock them to live there a few days to a month at a time. Doomsday bunkers accommodate long-term living rather than just through a short crisis.

Builders construct bomb shelters with reinforced steel, box culvert, concrete, or other durable materials (but many professionals do not recommend shipping containers, as they’re not designed to live underground. If building underground, you’ll first have to excavate land before building the actual structure. You’ll have to implement air and water filtration systems, septic systems, and power supply.

It takes a lot of experience to safely and legally construct a bomb shelter, not to mention make sure it’s fit to live in for extended periods of time. It’s best to talk to a residential structural engineer near you for proper guidance.

The current standard filtration systems require filtering both air and water. For air, you’ll want an NBC filter system, which both domestic and international producers make. NBC stands for Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical, which filters out all three. If you’re only building your shelter for natural disasters, chemical attacks, and biological attacks, you may opt for the less expensive HEPA filter system.

Water filtration requires the same level of care. You’ll likely want to have a large water storage capacity to survive short-term disasters. For long-term living, you’ll want to have a water filtration system.

Rising S bunker prices depend on the size, ranging anywhere from $20,000 to $9 million. Their least expensive model is 96 square feet while their most expensive model has a gym, swimming pool, hot tub, and bowling alley.

  • Mini: $45,500

  • Standard Bomb Shelter: $67,500–$109,500

  • Silver Leaf: $140,000–$182,500

  • Admiral: $180,000–$500,000

  • Xtreme: $450,000–$780,000

  • Xtreme Bunker Complex: $840,000–$1,830,000

  • Luxury Series: $3,800,000–$9,600,000

You almost always need a permit to build a bunker on land with any type of public utilities running through it. You’ll want to check with your local building code enforcement agency to see if this is the case for your area.

Because you’re building a structural component that often requires electricity, water, and sewage services, you’ll need to apply for permits to attach these utilities to your new property. However, off-grid-only units in rural areas may not need all or any of the permitting you’d normally find in more urban settings.

To survive a nuclear blast, you’ll need to have your bunker at least three feet underground. However, it’s usually advisable to put it further underground. To survive a close strike, you’ll want to have the bunker at least 10 feet down and with five-foot thick reinforced concrete. However, knowing exactly how deep to build depends on the size of the blast you’re trying to avoid. Most bunkers don’t need to be more than 5 feet below the ground.
