"Mr. Jim Gorman who is the owner of the business called me back within a half hour of my email posting. He visited my home 3 days later, inspected things, and told me what the approximate cost would be. He and his helper then installed an entire lightning protection system on both my house and a back garage/storage area. He did things exactly as I wanted in every way. Also threw in a free weathervane which increased the beauty of my home. I would have no objection to recommending this gentleman and his company to anyone who is in need of a competently installed lightning protection system for their home/property. MID-AMERICA LIGHTNING RODS is one fine company run by a man who cares about doing good work according to the latest safety codes etc. Having lost my previous retirement home to lightning, it was very important to me to get this job done and quickly because the thunderstorm season is upon us and with the climate change, those storms are very wicked, especially here out in the country where i live!"

"We recently worked with LSVG Electrics to install our Philips Hue smart recessed lights into our family room. To start, the electricians from LSVG were fantastic. They arrived promptly and began by walking through the plan, answering any and all questions along the way. Since we had no existing ceiling lights they had to run all new wiring, map out the placement perfectly, and handle ceiling cuts. They did all this flawlessly - so well done we did not even need to patch or repaint the ceiling. The fixtures sit completely flush, and the Philips Hue system provides incredible brightness as well as amazing color customization. LSVG made sure all wiring was up to code, provided a warranty and verified the lights were all communicating properly with each other as well as the Hue app before leaving. They cleaned up as much as they could of any slight mess they created during installation. The whole process was very seamless and stress-free! We look forward to workin with them again."

I described our problem and he immediately diagnosed a problem with exterior power supply from our power supplier ComEd. He recommended we call ComEd as their would be no charge if they repaired the problem. Barry gave me his cell phone number and asked me to keep him updated. ComEd came out and repaired the problem and restored the power as described by Barry. I appreciate the honesty of this company and their spot on advice. "Daniel addressed a not so straightforward switch replacement that I had botched. Not only did have to install it right but also had to diagnose and replace the circuit breaker in the panel. He also had to further diagnose a wire that had been melted and address that as well. He showed great problem solving skills, cleaned up and was extremely professional and friendly. Even though the job took much longer than expected, he still only charged what he had initially stated. Would hire again."
