In our case the job was done exactly as proposed, by a very talented and capable gentleman named Harry. He was also supported throughout the workday by Neil who popped in frequently to make sure all was going according to plan. Neil also remained available by phone at all times, which was a big plus. The pricing for the service was calculated as part of a very detailed and accurately itemized proposal. At the end of the job, we felt that the excellent quality of service we received was totally in line with the pricing. In fact, I think we came out ahead... There were quite a few unexpected little extras that came along with the job as a much appreciated surprise. For example, all of our glass shower doors and chrome hardware were left crystal clean and beautifully polished. Plus, the old yellowed shower door seal strips were removed, with new ones trimmed to size and replaced. All of this at no extra cost! Note: we provided the replacement door seal strips. You will be quite impressed with The Grout Medic's custom steam cleaning equipment. It's nothing like a traditional carpet cleaner! "We contracted with Lake Shore Restoration to repair the grout in two bathrooms, one bathroom on Friday and the other bathroom on Monday. They asked us to clear the first bathroom prior to their arrival on Friday, and since the counter was completely clear, we cleaned it as well. After they left on Friday afternoon, we started returning our stuff to the first bathroom when we immediately noticed a sizable chip out of the countertop. It was not at all the kind of chip one could miss when cleaning the countertop on Thursday evening. Although it was clear to us when the chip must have occurred, it was not at all clear to Lake Shore Restoration, They insisted that we had chipped the countertop ourselves even though we were not in the bathroom. They eventually offered us $250 towards the damage, a small fraction of the cost of replacing the countertop. Although their work was good, we will end up spending double what we budgeted for fixing our grout, not a good experience. "
