"It was a pleasure to work with these guys! In my past experiences I have found some contractors to be flaky and don't always follow through with promises or even call you back. Not the case with them at all. Communication was easy and they started as planned on the project and price we agreed on. We now have two new beautiful decks for a reasonable price and in less time than promised! We did luck out with the weather, which helps but they worked hard all day to get the job done quickly and with excellent quality. "David at Backshore Home Improvements was fantastic. Our job was a challenge because we live out on an island yet David made it work and it all went smoothly. The deck was large - 40' x 15' and it's a thing of beauty now! He and his crew were very helpful and professional and worked really hard and long hours to get the project done for us on schedule. He cleaned up the job site every night which we really appreciated and he removed all the old decking - which was above and beyond - when living on an island. Our deck is gorgeous, we love it and we loved working with him and his crew. "I highly recommend Archadeck of Central Maine. The carpenter, Garret, except for a few hours on the first carpentry day and the entire last day, worked on this by himself. He did a phenomenal job! On the last day he was joined by Preston and he did a great job as well. This project had some unique elements. First, was the slope of the ground. Second, was the design. The lower deck was designed to hold a hot tub (not shown here) to be accessed from the upper deck in the area between the two railings. One whole side of the upper deck remained without a railing as I wanted deck access to be at any point along the footpath. It'll be my task to backfill the gap between the deck surface and the footpath. Total number of days worked on this project was six (6). TJ and Jessi are easy to work with and the cost was very reasonable. We are THRILLED with the results!!"
