"Excellent work from start to finish. My father was a mason, so I know great work when I see it. First, they brought in a tear-down team to remove the chimney down to the first-floor roof level of our two-story house. After which, they rebuilt the chimney to original height installing approximately 900 new bricks using a new Type N mortar. They installed a new 5" thick concrete crown with a 2" drip edge and an expansion joint. They replaced all accessible sections of fireplace clay flue tile extending 4" - 6" above the concrete crown. Installed new stainless steel chimney cap. Installed 2 sets of new step and counter flashing. Installed 2 sets of new ice water shields and shingles as needed. Cleaned and weather sealed chimney entirely upon completion. After the chimney rebuild was done, the Mason, Seth, and his crew cleaned the work site, to include the whole driveway. They are a very efficient and thorough team. I understand that they like to leave the customer's house and yard as clean or better than they find it."

"The brochure say's that the owner or son will be on site to see the job through, that's far from the truth. After the son visit to secure the deal, make promises or elude to promises, don't expect to get a return phone call even to follow up. The job started with leaving roof items in the back driveway in clear vision of the street with my gate left open. I had to secure the loose walk away items in my garage to avoid someone from getting ideas. I was not staying t the house at the time, luckily I stopped by to check. When they arrived they did not even take an inventory to see if anything was missing until I pointed it out. They were messy with tearing of the roof and I had to remind them to clean my entrance and neighbors yard. I brought up the fact to the main contact go between (which is the secretary) after contract is sign that the crew was urinating in my back yard after I told them they could use the bathroom.There was supervision of the crew on the first day but nothing for the next day. I was billed over 1K for rotted wood replacement and I was told they would be pictures for proof but I was never was shown any. After the job was done, then came the review of the work and "where my check". A discrepancy was noted on the flashing but I was told they fixed it but never witness nor knew when they came. I got a phone call to see they did it and the secretary came to get the check. I still see one or two pieces of strip of plastic and green nails from the job on my 3K over budget roof from the Angie's offer. The price is no bargain compare to better professionalism all around from other companies from previous quotes obtained. This is a matter of you get what you pay for and being stuck after a $5,800 down payment."

"All projects were completed with beautiful results. Their masonry division and pavers division both employ professional, seasoned crews who are assigned to the project with experienced foremen. With all of the projects there was meticulous care taken with the work, and they communicated with me about matters that came up along the way. The onsite foremen (John - masonry) and Rob (Pavers) were very careful with the details and the progress of the projects. They brought a lot of positive energy and enthusiasm to the work every day. In one instance a section of the drive wasn't to Rob's liking, and they pulled up that section and redid everything. They were careful to adjust the angles for drainage on the driveway, and were attentive to details that a lesser company might not pay attention to. They will purchase the quality of pavers/stone requested by the customer, and the Unilock pavers I chose to have installed both look beautiful, and appear to be durable also. They were attentive to protecting my home from construction dust, as I had requested, covering windows and doors in the vicinity, and cleaned up well after their work. I had a landscape design created for the overall plan for renovating the exterior of my home, and they comfortably worked with that design in establishing the dimensions of the various paver projects. I thought that the front area and driveway would look very nice as planned but it looks even better than I had hoped. Neighbors, and even the mail carrier have commented upon the awesome work; it is nice when one's neighbors can also enjoy and appreciate the results of a home project. Early in the planning stages I was deciding upon whether I was going to use HiCon's services for this work or another contractor. What tipped the balance was some advice from another contractor I had working at my home, who has had occasion to see HiCon's work over time because of the work that they do; their comment was that they thought I should contract with HiCon because their work is excellent and really holds up over time. Where this other contractor might see a more amateurishly constructed patio start to show signs of wear after a few years, the HiCon structures they have had occasion to see are often there many years later, still in good shape. I couldn't be more pleased with the work."

windstorm.  The man who came was polite and efficient, and performed
inspection of my roof.  I was told I needed a new roof, was given an
estimate and a complete list of material choices.  I declined having the
work done as the damage was minimal, instead I opted for a temporary repair
which was done by a friend's handyman.  OTOH, I would seriously consider this
company should I ever need to have my roof completely replaced.
