"From start to finish Groundworks has been a great company to work with!! Jose and Jeremiah just finished up the Poly Renewal and Darlin, Tyler and Carlos did an excellent job installing the AquaStop Gutter system. All the employees were informed, professional and easy to talk with including Natasha the scheduler. I highly recommend this company."

"We had a hot water tank that was leaking slowly. It was not an emergency but needed to be replaced before going on vacation in a week. Jack the owner and his associate are very professional, reliable, knowledgeable, honest Christian and very reasonable and fair. They got it done. I highly recommend Moretto Plumbing and Design. He even called the next day to make sure everything was good. You will not be disappointed."

"I couldn't be more impressed with Mike and his team. We had them out to our house in Bella Vista to do an estimate for a drainage issue that his been a problem for almost a year. Instead of just throwing out a super expensive price tag right off the bat, Mike and Brandon took the time to work out a strategy with me that I could do myself. They really were there just to help me and my family get the full use of our backyard again. They have an incredible wealth of knowledge and I would trust them with any job."

"Daniel and his helper Dwayne were very quick to respond to our needs.  We bought a house on 6-21-12 (fri) and on Sat, while looking under the house in the crawl space because there was a couple of A/C duct lines that came loose, we noticed that under the master bedroom the ground was wet.  So we called Dan and he came out and diagnosed that the sewer line was broken in two different spots, one being right under the house, (water came bubbling up when you ran the sink/flushed toilet) and was also broke back by the main which was probably due to tree roots by the main as there is a large tree there.  So we ended up having him replace the whole line that way we shouldn't have to mess with it for 20+yrs.  While he was here I was under the house looking around and had him also replace all the drains to the kitchen and the master bathroom as they were in very poor condition.  He also replaced two toilets for us that were taller and were a much more efficient design over the 1970's versions that were in there.  The old ones worked but needed the guts rebuilt and were also very low to the floor so we wanted new ones that were taller anyway.  He also installed a water line for my fridge so it would make ice.  He put a box with a valve in the wall so I can turn it off without having to crawl under cabinets or anything.  We also had him move the drain and Hot/Cold lines for the Washer and Dryer from the master bath closet to the back room.  All the drains were done in PVC and the water feed lines were done in PEX and everything was strapped up properly.  He was very nice to work with and very professional, and in my opinion for all the work that was done, very very reasonable.UPDATE: Not quite 1 month after the sewer line got replaced, my water main line into my house broke, (I know, how lucky can 1 fellow get).  I called Dan and he came right out and I was upset as I just spent all the money we had saved up for fixing probs in the house on the sewer and plumbing he done earlier in the month.  So he worked with us and cut us a good deal and dug a trench and routed it to be more direct to the house and got everything hooked up and running.  There must have been a leak in it when we bought the house as the water pressure was low coming out of the faucets but we thought it was bad plumbing from the previous owner as there is a mixture of different pipes and different sizes all hooked up to feed water throughout the house.  But after Dan hooked up the new line our water pressure doubled.  We still need to have the rest of the house re-plumbed for all the water feeds to the faucets, tubs, showers, but that will have to wait for now.  He ran the new line with PEX plus put in a shut off valve for me right inside the crawl space where I can get to it easily if I have to shut the water off to the whole house.  He gives a 1yr warranty on all his work also.  Dan also ended up fixing the sidewalk as the slab that we picked up to move as we couldn't go under it broke when we picked it up to put it back, so he rounded up concrete, which is hard in this town after 6:00pm and i had a couple 2X4's and he built the form and poured in the concrete at no extra cost to me for the materials or the extra time.  He is a great man who cares, as he knew we were really tight for money after just having all the work done the previous month. <br /> I dont want to leave out his helper Dwayne (sp) he did a very good job of helping and getting things done also, he is also a very nice fellow.  Dwayne even ran 3 network cables under the house to where I needed them for me since he was working under there anyway, but he wasn't working on that side of the house and he did have to crawl over to the other side to do it and it was very much appreciated, plus he dug up a small tree stump since they had the back hoe here and had some spare time and also dug up a couple of Yucca plants for me that I didn't like where they were...... <br /> When I get some more money saved up, I will definitely be hiring him again to finish running all new water feed lines throughout the house and put in new drains in the front bathroom also."

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Fairland, OK

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
