"Carpet Fair has been installing quality carpet in my various apartments and home for the past 15 years. They have installed carpet in three different apartments per year over that period. I've branched out with the Home Depot and additional carpet businesses from time to time, but no beats these guys in terms of response and installation time, price, and especially customer service (which is almost non existent with the Depot). Mark usually has the installation completed within a day or two of the order. I highly recommend for you home office or business.  "

"Steve & Lizz promptly arrived  and answered all my questions  and followed all my requests . Steve suggested a money-saving carpet repair which was  very successful and  expertly executed   .  They were extremely thorough and carefully followed the details of my requests .Their skills and expertise were extra-ordinary  . They cautiously  cleaned  delicate  areas  (  involving  wires , phone plug  ) .  Steve and Lizz were friendly ,  polite and professional  . They took great pride in doing a superb job .  Their work  and professional attitude far exceeded our expectations and did  far  superior to the work of a previously hired  carpet cleaning company . We would definitely use them in the future . <br />"

"LLB Flooring was our first experience doing any sort of construction or dealing with any contractor. It's hard to find a contractor to trust but we are glad we went with LLB. We had carpet ripped out and hardwood installed - We also had some old hardwood ripped out and replaced with hardwood. LLB was excellent. Floors look great and have been holding up well so far. Bekar was always very responsive to any questions before hiring, and even during the job. The workers were extremely nice, respectful and were very neat."

"The carpet was ordered by the store and was received within 4 days.  The installers came the next day.  We discussed some details on how the carpet would be installed on the stairs at the critical points, such as the threshold at the top of the stairs, how the carpet would tuck in at the edge of each stair and wrap around the bottom stair, as the last stair opened into the room. They were fast, very professional and cleaned up afterwards.  It was a neat and tidy job.  Well done! <br />"

"King Carpet had an excellent selection, and we worked directly with one of the owners in the shop to select the appropriate quality.  He came to the house to measure, arriving when he said he would and was done within 20 minutes.  The installers came when they said they would, and the installation team was very professional.  The work was done well, and they cleaned up when done.  We are very pleased with the results.  We will be using them again <br />"

"I had a carpet that had been ruined by my movers when they got it wet on its way to storage and allowed to sit in the storage facility for 6 weeks without drying it out. When I unrolled my carpet it was covered in mold. Tribal loom was able to pick up the rug within 2 hours of my calling them. A week later they returned it to me mold free. Unfortunately they were unable to repair all the damage as the excessive moisture had resulted in dye run; however they prepared an official appraisal for me to present to the insurance company. All of this was done with in 1 week and included door to door service. I would use this company again and will recommend them to anyone who asks. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Fairview Village, PA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
