Small jobs welcome

" I recently hired a contractor for tile work as well as a full kitchen and bedroom remodel in my apartment, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The tile installation was precise and beautifully done, with clean lines and great attention to detail. The kitchen remodel transformed the space — the layout is more functional, the finishes are high‑quality, and the craftsmanship really shows. The bedroom updates were handled just as professionally, creating a clean, modern look that feels both comfortable and well‑designed. Communication throughout the project was smooth, timelines were respected, and the team worked efficiently and respectfully in my home. I’m extremely pleased with the results and would confidently recommend their services for any renovation work."

"DO NOT USE!! Roger Reynolds is a con man and will take your money without completing the job. Please note, my experience was specific to Roger's other business (Roger Reynolds Carpentry and Restoration, Inc) operating at the same address, owned by the same individual. Details surrounding the incomplete work and subsequent Civil Complaint can be found below. In short, a Civil Complaint had to be filed against Roger, which required court appearances and follow up a number of times to get reimbursement after having received a judgement in the plaintiff’s favor. Civil Complaints are public record and can be searched on the Montgomery County, PA website under docket searches, [*** Link removed ***] The Civil Complaint was filed on 25Feb2021 under Docket Number MJ-38124-CV-0000039-2021; disposition date 28Apr2021. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE HIRING -- LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE…he’s not worth the loss of money, time or frustration. Detailed Summary of Complaint: In January 2020, Roger Reynolds Carpentry & Restoration Inc (RCR) and the property owner entered into a Design Agreement for a water management system and build of a porch roof. This included, full survey with marker pins and documentation from the courthouse, determine any guidelines of storm water capture and discharge related to this property and shop drawings of design with vegetation notes. Per this contract, “The cost of this process is $3000.00. If the above named client moves forward with the project RCR will credit the build contract the same sum.” The contract specifies that the survey was scheduled for late January 2020, package completion by late February 2020 and RCR would initiate the project in early March 2020. A portion of deliverables for the Design Agreement were received in March 2020. The property owner made a request for design modification with specific items that needed to be addressed prior to project initiation. Between 22Mar2020 and 27Oct2020, the property owner followed up on 12 separate occasions to request the design modifications, which were never made. The full property survey, courthouse documentation and storm water collection and discharge guidelines were not provided to the property owner as agreed upon in the Design Agreement. On 27Oct2020, Roger Reynolds, owner of RCR, stated that RCR was no longer interested in the project and terminated contact with the property owner following referral to another landscaper that he had not personally worked with and was not able to provide a reference for. Since RCR decided to terminate the project with the property owner nine months after entering into the Design Agreement, the client was not able to move forward with the project build with RCR and the $3000 credit was not provided. RCR failed to respond to formal requests for information and modifications made between October 2020 and January 2021 and a Civil Compliant was filed with the Montgomery County Court in PA on 25Feb2021. On 28Apr2021, a judgement was awarded in the homeowner’s favor, reference Docket Number MJ-38124-CV-0000039-2021. Docket Case Reference: [*** Link removed ***] Payment on the judgement was not received until July 2021 after following up a number of times and threatening to get the court involved in collecting the liability due."

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in Fairview Village, PA

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
