"I called Tad from American Rose Garden last spring to discuss options to bring our lawn back to life as it was not looking the best! Tad arrived on time and was very easy to talk to. He was polite, personable and knowledgeable. He informed us of the pros and cons to option 1) re-seeding the entire lawn and option 2) laying sod. He kindly costed both methods out for us to help in our decision. After some consideration, we decided to have new sod laid and have the instant gratification of a nice lush green lawn. At the same time, we also had Tad and his team clean up the front and back yards, lay down fresh mulch and put in a few new shrubs. Tad’s team were polite and hard-working and they transformed our yard beyond recognition. Tad was rightly concerned with how our new lawn was going to get sufficient and regular watering, particularly with summer around the corner. He recommended getting an automatic timer and advised me about the type of sprinkler to buy and where to place it to ensure that all areas of the lawn would be watered. Tad later came back to install our new timer and help get our watering system set up correctly. Even though this took up most of his morning and involved a trip to the hardware store, he refused payment for this return visit. I was so impressed with this company from start to finish. Tad and his team were wonderful and I would not hesitate to recommend American Rose Garden to anyone looking to rejuvenate their landscaping."

"We were very impressed with Jorge. Our sprinkler system has been running only 4 out of 9 circuits for years and we have had difficulty finding someone who appeared to know what they are doing. It is very difficult for someone to bid the job when they don’t really know what the problem is. We got two other bids, but they were just offhand bids like, $250 a sprinkler relay. Jorge turned on the sprinklers (which the other guys did not do) and in about 20 minutes of going through the circuits he had the whole system diagnosed. He could not, of course, give us a firm price, but we trusted his expertise. The work is not cheap, but his team works fast and knows what they are doing. I think it took about 2 days and he had installed a new controller and got all the circuits working, including one that we thought was buried under the sidewalk, and one that we had never hooked up. We had him come back later to add an additional circuit and put in landscape lighting. He was very patient with me about showing me how to program the controller, since the written instructions that came with it were terrible. He is coming back to winterize the system for us. He is the first person we will call for any of our landscaping equipment maintenance."

"RT Total Lawn made the process from inquiry to installation easy. Sara responded to my Angie’s request, answered a few questions, then came out with owner Rafael to do an estimate. We discussed drip vs in ground irrigation, agreed on a fair price then the work was scheduled and completed quickly. When done, RT’s crew did a thorough clean up and Rafael and Sara came back to do a walk through. I am 100% satisfied and look forward to working them on other projects. "Spectacularly! Bill was able to come out a day after we talked (I had contacted another company who said they'd come by and never did). We walked the yard and he showed me how the sprinkler system was supposed to run, but we found a bunch of the sprinkler heads were misaligned or no longer working. He works by the hour and was very honest about how much he could expect to accomplish per hour. In the end he was able to go faster than expected, so replaced more than I originally hoped in the agreed upon price. I'd DEFINITELY call Bill again!"

"Robert re-designed our yard, both front and back, and oversaw the design and construction of a back yard brick patio that we had added as well.  <br /> Overall, the experience was amazing. In the past- we have had some issues with landscapers- not quite doing all the work as specified, ignoring some sections of the yard, not weeding completely, etc. Robert, on the other hand, is a stickler for details, and the finished result is amazing. From our first consultation, he asked questions about not only what plants we were hoping to see, but also how we wanted the yard to look/smell year-round, what we wanted to use the yard and patio for, and plans for the future in the yard- should he plan for an addition to the patio in a year, etc. After much discussion,  and several meetings, we agreed on a hard budget, including referral and  selection of a hardscape contractor, we selected plants, and then he started his magic. Every time he said he would be out to do some piece of the work, he was there, always on time ( typically a bit early!). Becasue he had done a thorough surve of our yard, and what plants we already had, he was abale to reuse many of our plants, but rearranged them in ways that actually improved both the plants and the overall landscape.   <br /> When construction of the patio was started, Robert was also on top of that, serving as the general contractor to ensure that time/money details were being attended to. Robert took great care to also ensure that we were happy at every stage of this process, even insisting at one point that bricks that had been laid be taken out and replaced because the work, and alignment, was not quite satisfactory. Unfortunately, while doing some of the pre-construction work to build the patio, a leak was discovered in our landscaping system. Robert was also able to get a landscape irrigation company out at very short notice to repair and triage that issue as well, actually saving us from a more expensive irrigation repair bill down the line. When all the work on the yard and the patio was done- the results was even better than we had anticipated, and we have gotten many compliments on the absolute beauty of the yard and the patio. As intended, our yard ended up being our second "living room " this summer, and has added to the overall liveability and beauty of our home.  <br />"

During the walk through he was both professional and informative - his experience with lawns and irrigation were evident and it was clear that he takes great pride in the quality of his work. His price was competitive and he was upfront about the pros and cons of installing sod vs seed - both in terms of initial cost and ongoing maintenance. Although we ultimately chose another contractor (it was a difficult decision), I would not hesitate to consider North East Landscaping for future projects or for ongoing maintenance."
